JOZO SIMUNOVIC is ready to kick-start his career with Turkish giants Trabzonspor.
The former Celtic centre-half, who left the champions at the end of the season when his contract expired, has spent the summer in search of a new club.
Now the 26-year-old Croatian defender looks to be about agree terms with the team that were runners-up in the Turkish Super League, according to a report in the Daily Record.
Simunovic, who cost the Hoops £4million when Ronny Deila signed him from Dinamo Zagreb, won five titles at the Parkhead club,
However, he fought a constant battle against injury and made only 15 appearances last season.
It was decided not to take up the 12-month option on his contract in June.
Trabzonspor are now managed by former Chelsea No.2 Eddie Newton who is revamping his first team squad and has already brought in five new players as the club attempt to win the championship for the first time in 36 years.
Simunovic now faces a medical before hopefully signing a three-year deal.
