Jullien, Forrest and recuperation periods

563

We are already at the stage of the season when a return of Christopher Jullien or James Forrest would have little impact on the outcome.  It will take a scheduling miracle for the Scottish Cup to reach its latter stages before club football ends to allow players to join international squads ahead of the Euros, so the news that Chris is likely to be in recuperation until the start of next season is no real hardship.

The return of James will be a welcome sight but it is hard to see any big picture relevance, no matter how brilliant he plays.  Celtic players get little time to allow limbs to rest and recuperate, this is one such period.

Sunday night in Dingwall is the very last place in Scotland’s tourist trail, apart from the Celtic squad, who will arrive looking for their sixth successive win this month.

Ross County have not played in two weeks since defeat to Dundee United, a period that has seen Hamilton collect 5 points to put the Highlanders bottom of the table.  History records that they were the team who stopped Celtic’s run of 12 consecutive domestic trophies, when they eliminated us from the League Cup during the disastrous month of November.  We owe them one.

  3. lets all do the huddle on

Djokovic has been wearing plenty of really smart green and white Lacoste gear during this tourney

We should ditch adidas and get them to design our strips

we might be pretty pish but at least we would look a smart and classy form of pish

Where do you start with comments like this:

The Hoops boss believes talk of a car crash campaign, which has them trailing Rangers by 15 points in the title race with just nine games to go, has been grossly exaggerated.

  5. HI BHOYS

    Re Djokovic

That top he’s wearing is a beauty I searched online for 2 hours trying to find it eventually contacted Lacoste and asked them were I could buy it they said it might come on their website at a later date so just keep looking. What a lot of use that answer was. The good news is the other green and white one he’s been wearing at the competition ie. colours reversed when it’s more green than white is widely available.

    KEEP THE FAITH

Prestonpans bhoys- Seriously, oh my days he is deluded.

    D :)

  7. Talking of nice tennis tops, I remember when Borg won his first Wimbledon in 1976.

He was wearing a white top with a green chalk stripe, sponsor was Fila, I think.

Anyway i went into a sports shop in Glasgow to buy one.

    That’ll be £37.50 sir.

But I just want the one!!!!

    About a weeks wages.

    No thanks.

    Where do you start indeed.

His pressers both before and after matches are a disgrace, so removed from reality it’s embarrassing.

He should be hanging his head in shame for the disgraceful way both himself and the team have performed not trying to make excuses.

  9. PB- D 66- someone should tell NL,to stop talking about next season, and future signings……will you tell him or I ?

  10. Hope this 19:30hrs game on a Sunday isn’t setting a precedent for future seasons!

Friday night games on BT were excellent, Celtic fix and night out done, whole weekend left to your leisure.

I agree D66, Calmac with his composure, best placed in and around the box.

Hopefully Yogi continues with his footballing philosophy and they have a go. Might mean we can put out a formation without thinking too much about a parked bus.

    Why would I?

Shocking season all round with the manager refusing to accept his failure.

How can you sugar coat that?

Cannot believe that some folk think that this season has not been an unmitigated disaster.

Lennon is insulting the intelligence of the supporters coming out with the garbage that he is spouting recently.

Planning for next season? Breathtaking arrogance.

  13. Daniel Medvedev getting something of the feeling experienced by Andy Murray in Melbourne so many times.

That said he is a class act, has a great game, which could well be suited for Wimbledon in July. Great to see a decent size crowd in attendance.

As for Novak, also a class act and a great ambassador for Tennis, and one of the all time greats.

And wore some terrific green and white combos en route to winning the Nine.

  14. Ross County dressing room pre kickoff

Lenny “Right boys, same as usual, ball to feet. Take no chances”

Kenny, “Boss, what if I have a chance to charge the wing and throw in a cross?”

Lenny, “No no no, one of their players might get it”

Kenny, “Ok boss, what if I just slide as forward pass into space for Eddie to run on to?”

Lenny, “Too dodgy, play it to his feet”

Kenny, “But what if he’s tightly marked?”

    Lenny, “Pass back to Shane”

Shane, “Can I try a forward pass into space for Mo to run onto? He’s got pace”

Lenny, “Is anyone in here listening?”

  15. as the league is long gone tonight I would try

    Bain

    Kenny Welsh Taylor

    Brown

    Ajer Turnbull Laxalt

    Christie

    Griff Eddy

  16. Morning all.

Sure my wee ma said boats comin from Ireland would drop off in Anderston and my Granda would bring some of the folk to their house for a bite to eat.

Cant listen to Lenny waffle anymore.

Think it will be difficult game tho a nice 1-3 victory.
