VILJAMI SINISALO was just champion the last time he played against Dundee United at Tannadice.
On the memorable afternoon of April 26 last year, the Finnish international keeper was in charge of the gloves in place of Kasper Schmeichel who had sustained a shoulder injury playing for Denmark against Portugal the previous month.
It’s in the history books now that Celtic romped to a 5-0 triumph to seal the club’s fourth successive title and their thirteenth crown in 14 years.

FLAG HAPPY…Viljami Sinisalo is all smiles after Celtic’s 5-0 win over Dundee United at Tannadice in April last year to seal their thirteenth title in 14 years.
Sinisalo will be back at the venue for tomorrow’s 12.30pm kick-off as the champions play catch up in their pursuit of the team’s 56th flag in their glorious history.
The agile shotstopper, a £1million purchase from Aston Villa in the summer of 2024, said: “On a personal level, I’ve got great memories from Tannadice, so I hope we can recreate something similar on this occasion.
“We’re all looking forward to it. It’s been a hectic four months, things have happened, a lot of games, not many free midweeks.
“So, we need to get through this game, take three points, go away on international duty and some of the lads will probably have a few days off.
“And then we come back refocused and go again, but the main thing is this weekend and I’m sure everyone will be absolutely 100 per cent ready for this.”
Sinisalo, speaking to Celtic TV, continued: “It’s very much about us, as it always is. It’s about what type of personality and play we bring to the game.
“That’s always the case, that’s the only thing we can control – how we approach it, how we start the game.
“These games away from home, they’re very important how you start, you can control the crowd a little bit.
“I’m sure we’ll be backed by a big away crowd again, which is amazing.”

SMILES BETTER…Kasper Schmeichel, Alistair Johnston, Greg Taylor and Viljami Sinisalo celebrate Celtic’s fourth successive title at Tannadice.
As the games tick down, there is no chance of Celtic keeping a hold of their title with four matches still to go, as was the case last term.
It could be a battle right to the finish and the Hoops displayed their fighting qualities to come back from a goal down to overcome an impressive Motherwell side 3-1 at Parkhead last weekend.
Sinisalo added: “It just shows again the character within the changing room.
“Motherwell are obviously a very, very good side, they ask a lot of questions of you in the game.
“I’ve been quite complimentary of them this season, they’re a tough team to play against and we dealt with it well.
“We came out of the dressing room in the second-half with a real plan and got the three points which is the main thing, and we need to take that into this weekend.”
