Who can forget the one arm raised to the heavens following his breathtaking solo effort in the 4-0 mauling of the Ibrox visitors in the derby in September?

Travelling fans got a close-up view of the Portuguese winger’s obvious joy after he netted in the 3-0 win over Livingston in West Lothian in October.

GOT IT LICKED…Filipe Jota can’t believe his bad luck.

Jota has an interesting reaction when he is out of luck, too. The supporters could have blinked and missed his expression against St Johnstone in Perth at the weekend.

With the Hoops leading 3-1 shortly after the turnaround, the former Benfica starlet let fly from outside the box with a wonderful curling attempt.

Keeper Remy Matthews remained motionless as the ball appeared to be arcing towards his top right-hand corner for a Goal of the Season contender.

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL…Filipe Jota shares the joy after his goal in the 3-0 win in Livingston in October.

Unfortunately, the ball did not have enough dip and the effort clipped the top of the woodwork and ricocheted to safety.

Jota was denied another eye-catching goal celebration. But his facial reaction to a near-miss was just as memorable.

Let’s face it, it’s difficult to keep the touchline trickster out of the news – even when the ball doesn’t hit the net.
