Justice without fear or favour, but much more to come

400

The SFA Judicial Panel which disciplined Rangers two weeks ago was independent of the SFA.  Tonight’s appellate panel was also independent but as I was reminded tonight, there’s independent and there’s ‘independent’.

Celtic Quick News has cast its share of aspersions in the direction of the SFA in recent years but even President What-school-did-you-go-to? could not spike what appears to be well established processes.

The consequences from tonight’s decision by the SFA appellant panel will run deep for Stewart Regan, and I suspect life would be easier for him if a more accommodating verdict was returned, but the structure he created delivered what he promised.  Justice, without fear or favour. Credit where due.

You and I have a responsibility to start rebuilding trust, and Scottish football, from here. Don’t wallow in past times, or a in an old victim mentality. Tomorrow belongs to you and your neighbours who support Aberdeen, Dundee United, Hibs, St Mirren, Motherwell and many others. Make sure you enjoy that future and are not consumed by past torments.

Rangers is a former football club.  They played their last game on Sunday 13 May 2012 at Perth.

We’ve been predicting this for months, and if you think the revelations and shocks are over, think again.  Empires will crumble, oceans will dry and galaxies will collide next week.  The surface has only been scratched.

  1. A wee word to the stupid huns. Sion went to the civil courts to overturn a football association decision.

How did that work out for them?

    Stupid stupid huns…

  2. With his contract ending at the huns, would anybody sign Sone Aluko? You know just for another HAHA plus he ain’t a bad player either

It’s as great a skill, knowing when to back off, as it is knowing when to start.

It bodes well for the dual contract situation.

    Good start to the day!

TRYING to read back through last night’s news with the biggest smile ever.

One thought straight away is the huns want to appeal because the origional panel gave a punishment that was not in their rules to give.

Oh i hope they DO appeal again, cos the punishments that were available to the panel were basically ‘throwing them out of football all together’

Who is the cqner who always says ‘stupid huns’ ?????

Still no cracked crest in the Record. Some say its all about sales and selling to the main demographic and all that. But that doesnt stop the other papers and even STV going with the symbol of shame. The fact that the DR cant get our badge broken quickly enough, even for two pre-season defeats, tells me what this hun rag thinks of us.

The Orcs pleading that the appeal decision was wrong, based on their assertions that the club should not be punished due to the actions of one man, don’t quite get it do they.

They seem to be conveniently dismissing the fact that the club BENEFITED, through undoubtedly corrupt practices due to the actions of one man or more likely a procession of like minded and compliant board members for many many years.

The logic cant work both ways bozos.

Hopefully further justice will prevail soon.

  13. Just noticed that their under 19 team (first team next season) finished a poor 5th in the under 19s league, 20 points behind The Champions.

You almost want them in the SPL next season to watch them be relegated!

So Sandy, you think the ‘actions of individuals’ should be separate from what happens to the Club.

I tell you what then, let’s separate the actions of Jelavic, Miller and all those other individuals when they scored goals for your Club in recent seasons.

Ah, you mean the actions of individuals should be separate from the Club when they do BAD things for rangers, not when good things come out it. Of course you do.

  19. If this Charles Green is the new owner why are D&P getting involved?

Someone should remind them they are mere Administrators.

But Charlie Green (and his cohorts) don’t own rAngers ye, just because the MSM call him the “new owner” doesn’t mean that he his.

  24. So this morning the redtops are reporting that the Shame are going to sue the SFA. So the administrators are going to allow them to waste crediors and tax payers money to take a prolonged, expensive and doomed court action?

    Surely this won’t be allowed.

    Or so you would think!

    ———————————————————————————————————

I think you will find that regardless of what the MSM have been saying about ‘new owners’ that is not the case. Green and his consortium have made a bid for the club which has been accepted but now money has changed hands yet. They are doing due diligence (sic) and trying to get a CVA, etc.. etc.

This is a bit like selling your house. You put it on the market and someone offers to buys and you accept the offer but the house remains yours until they give you the cash.

Therefore at this stage D&P are still in charge. In real terms Green has no real right to be there at all. (In reality he may have just accompanied the RFA(ia) group at Hampden as I doubt if he was actually involved in the appeal).

D&P therefore would need to push the final final appeal but if it was lost again they would probably he held personally responsible for any costs incurred. This is why RFF is funding the appeal.

No, I want them away from home in November, when they are struggling near or at the bottom, and the novelty has worn off and the fans have scuttled away. Then they get us at Dingwall and……………….No Rangers fans turn up

The hit they’ll take will be enormous, and not just financially. It will show we are organised, we are together and we have looooooong memories.

That said, I hope no away tickets are taken for the whole season. “
