That was a dreadful half of football.
Very lethargic performance from us
Static, little movement and not winning tackles and second balls when we attack

No anticipation in this team. Could be the jet lag , we appear 1 second off the pace. So we keep ball to retain energy. This team is dead unless we inject some unpredictability. We are not using assets – get maeda , idah, Engels and yamada on. Space will open up.
What they lack in forward threat, they more than make up for in defensive organisation.
We’re bereft of ideas. Forrest and Yang just refusing to take men on. Almost everything being played backwards once we meet the first line of defence.

I hope we’re playing jn the europs league next season. Not because I hope for failure but, because I believe celtic in the champions league will be a disgustingly difficult watch that will bring no enjoyment. Also, Because I believe we may have the potential fir a little success in a lesser tournament. Although, none of that is based on tonight’s performance. It really looks like we’re playing for pens against atalanta out there

They are hit and Hope , run hard, cover and harass all over the pitch and we don’t have enough quality to overcome it.
Agree it’s an embarrassing performance and the I can’t see it getting any better

Nygren has been a major disappointment as has our other 2 midfielders. We are not showing the hunger required to win this match. They are a terrible side and if we lose to them it will rank as our worst European result ever.
I’d put Engles on for Yang. Move nygren right and James left.
