KAYODE OFFERED TO CELTIC

NIGERIAN striker Olarenwaju Kayode has been offered to Celtic by hard-up Israeli outfit Maccabi Netanya.

The 21-year-old was once valued in the £2million bracket, but the price has now dropped to around £300,000.

Neatly are desperate to sell to stave off bankruptcy.

Head coach Yossi Mizrahi admitted: “Without rapid cuts in the squad, the club may enter a process of dissolution.

“We have no money to pay off players’ contracts, so we must try to sell.”

Kayode’s agent, Dudu Dahan, who has dealt with the SPFL champions in the past over Efe Ambrose, Beram Kayal and Nir Bitton, believes a deal will be concluded for the player.

He said: ““We believe the transfer will soon come to a conclusion and there are Belgian clubs, as well as Celtic, interested.”
