Keep Kyogo out of the squad

730

It is five weeks since Kyogo Furuhashi pulled up with a hamstring injury.  Almost four weeks since he returned for the League Cup Final and nearly three weeks since the recurrence of his injury forced an early exit against St Johnstone.

You and I have been watching football long enough to know that from the off, we are told players will need three weeks to recover from even a mild hamstring strain.  Kyogo may well be superhuman, but he has not been permitted this recovery period.

A return against Hibs on Monday looks foolhardy, I would also be reluctant to play him against Alloa the following weekend.  The Hearts game at Tynecastle on 26 January is exactly a month after his last outing, that should be his target.

The Griff has been released from his contract

Great player that he was he obviously now lacks the professionalism demanded by Ange and Celtic Fc

  13. The Australian Government have now come, however belatedly, to the correct decision, and Novak(xx) will be deported. How a country that has demanded so much of its own people during the pandemic could have even contemplated granting a vaccine-refuser/denier a visa in the first place astounds me.

Is this a one-off rejection for the Serbian, or, the first of many? Will any other country, e.g. France, US, or, UK, extend a welcome to him if he maintains his stance? He now has ‘form’ on and off the court.

The weight of public opinion against him in Australia was overwhelming, but of course the media by seeking out and giving equal weight to his supporters and family, sought to give the impression that general opinion was in the balance. It never was in Australia, nor do I think it will be anywhere else outside Serbia.

Sorry Novak – you are a wonderful player and a superb champion – either you have been badly advised by people who did not know enough about the Aussies, or, you thought you were too important to be bound by rules that those who pay to come and see you play are obligated to follow.

  14. Melbourne Mick on

Hello again all you you rebels.

Well ! that’s my week of partying on the beach over, wee Grace back

with the parents and me lying knackered on the couch.

Great looking back on the blog and seeing the Perth CSC boat party

recognised a few faces from my time over there in Rosie o’Gradys pub,

wonder if Dbhoy or Bheaver from this parish were on the boat ?

Not seen them on here for a wee while.

A couple of years back I told you all about an exiting big Sudanese boy

who played with our u 16’s and we went on to win the league.

I don’t think I’ve seen a better prospect and him and the wee mhan

became good friends, he disappeared off the radar and despite my

attempts to get him back I never seen him kick a ball for a couple of

years, and heard he made bad decisions, got in with the wrong crowd

    and you know the rest.

Was out doing my daily walk/ jog a week ago through the local park

and walking past 5 big coloured guys sitting on the picnic benches

drinking those vodka ices, each one had a slab of them, obviously

very wary and ready for some grief I heard

    “ Mick….Yo. Mick “

    Didn’t recognise him

    “ it’s me Rott “

Puffed up face well out of condition and rat ersed.

“ Heard you’ve got a u20s team this year, I want to try out”

“ No chance, look at the state of you , feck I could outrun you “

    “ I’ll get fit, I need this “

“ O.k dump that shit and show for training this Tuesday “

Thought to myself “ won’t see him again “

But what do you know? had to go down the parks today and do some

tasks, and there he was doing lap after lap with a ball ,aaaand he coaxed

his young brother who looked an even better player to come with us.

Life can certainly be strange at times, but what pleased me the most, the

big fella had on the Celtic away top the weemhan gave him about 3 years ago.

Obviously a tight fit, but we’ll get that sorted after a few training sessions 😂

  15. Tom McLaughlin on

Good morning from the Village. Only one more sleep before we see the Celtic strutt their stuff in front of the masses. Oh happy days.

Reading back over Saturday night, it seems one or two posters posting under the influence. Always a bad idea. I’ve done it myself in the distant past.

Feel sad for the ending of Leigh Griffith’s Celtic career. A true hunskelper who gave us many magical moments at home and in Europe. A great career cut short too soon.

    Hail Hail

  16. Melbourne Mick

That is awesome, hope the young lad is now back on the right road, maybe the long road

    You know the rest

    👏👏👏👏🍀

  17. Good morning all from a damp underfoot Garngad

MM – Well done on all your endeavours but especially with this troubled young fella.

Respect sir if anyone can get him focused and back on track it’s you.

    NORRIE/ DAVID66

Fingers crossed he sticks with it, I can empathise with him, been there

done that, what a difference he’ll make to our side.

  19. Thank God some left-over Tramadol is finally kicking in.

The big toe throbs like a Harley, is the colour of Prince’s raspberry beret and it’s sitting at as jaunty an angle as Arthur Daley’s trilby. It’s broken, right??

Easy Sunday kickabout where I was more worried about my calves than my feet, until that clumsy lad landed bang on the toe; played on for about 10 but the nausea waves were kicking in.

Melb Mick; any Lourdes-like water down at they Peninsula hot springs ??

Riley is no immediate loss to us btw!!

  20. Big Jimmy – The Human Big Jimmy that is, not the satellite or donkey, good to see you on big man.

  21. Hopefully big Julliene is fit to start.

Go for a back 3 of CCV Julienne Starfelt.

As for the rest: Tora, Tora, Tora
