Keep Kyogo out of the squad

730

It is five weeks since Kyogo Furuhashi pulled up with a hamstring injury.  Almost four weeks since he returned for the League Cup Final and nearly three weeks since the recurrence of his injury forced an early exit against St Johnstone.

You and I have been watching football long enough to know that from the off, we are told players will need three weeks to recover from even a mild hamstring strain.  Kyogo may well be superhuman, but he has not been permitted this recovery period.

A return against Hibs on Monday looks foolhardy, I would also be reluctant to play him against Alloa the following weekend.  The Hearts game at Tynecastle on 26 January is exactly a month after his last outing, that should be his target.

  1. Fitba memories…

Back in the 1970’s whilst playing Centre Forward for my College Team…..we won 10-0 or 10-1, in a game.

    I was Centre Forward for the 90 minutes…but I NEVER Scored a Goal !…

    However….

My Team Mates carried me shoulder aff the Park that Day as they awarded me ” Man of the Match” because DESPITE NOT scoring myself…I LAID ON EIGHT Goals !

There you have it…a so called Centre Forward whos team score TEN Goals in a game…and the so called Centre Forward Does NOT Score !

Whit a great day that was.

Big Jimmy, fair enough. You’re probably worth more than Chris Wood.

    ……….

Anytime I watched him playing for Burnley…he was a Big LUMP of Wood!

  3. Jack Grealish….yet another imposter !

Man City apparently paid £100 Million for him from Aston Villa ?

I would bet that WHEN City try to sell him, they will be lucky to get £20 Million for him…?

    …………

Maybe Celtic have made the case that IF Kyogo went with the Japan squad, he would NOT be Match Fit anyway ?

    Im just guessing.

    HH Mate.

  5. I must look at the ODDS of DAIZEN scoring at least Two or THREE Goals Tomorrow ?

Im excited….. and I wish I could be in Celtic Park, especially when Daizen AND Kyogo are in the Celtic starting line up.

Terrific contributions down the years he seems to be on the back of a lot of sniping across the ole Celtic blogsphere now he’s gone.

I think part of the trouble with players like him is the money. It attracts hangers on who indulge and encourage the waywardness. A couple of generations ago , when things were tougher, he might have had someone in his background with a bit of sense who would have kept him on the straight and narrow.

I was at that 10-0 game and it was around October 1968 and it was old League Cup Section 1st Leg game at Celtic Park. CHALMERS and LENNOX Scored FIVE Goals each. Celtic also won the 2nd Leg 5-0 at Douglas Park.

On the day of the 10-0 game it had been a Monsoon in Glasgow for most of the day and night and me and my wee school Pal were in the old Enclosure behind the Dug Outs and we were soaked.

Some other Bhoys near us, were jumping onto the track during the game, and waving and shouting etc into the Celtic Dug Out…Big Jock wasnt amused and he he came out of the Dug Out and shouted at me and my wee mate…..We told Big Jock, ” it wisnae us Mr Stein…it was they big bad bhoys that done it! !

The big bad Bhoys had already bolted as Big Jock came oot the Dug Out….

But as me and my mate were innocent …we Grassed them up to Mr Stein.

92 years ago today my Great Grandfather, Sam Carson, would have been getting ready to go to the dogs! He raced Greyhounds at Celtic Park from day one. His dog Collge Days won on the historic opening night in 1927.

Charles Patrick Tully shows the weans how to do the Rabona at Parkhead in the early 1960’s after he had retired. The word legend does not begin to do service to Charlie Bhoy. The tales are legendary.

Great Pic of the Tully man.

I have a 7inch vinyl record of Charlie Tully singing on the ” A” Side…Celtic are the greatest team” and on the ” B” Side…Charlie Tully singing ” The Bhoys in White and Green”.

When I showed this record to Bertie Auld and Wullie OnEill one night in Bairds Bar, they couldnt believe their eyes. Both of those Bhoys had told me that Charlie Tully would sing on the Team Bus before and after matches, but they did NOT know that he had made a Record !

  24. On the Tully recording…all you can hear is Charlies voice and someone ( maybe Charlie ? ) playing an old SQUEEZE BOX in the back ground.

    Its Magic !
