Keep Kyogo out of the squad

730

It is five weeks since Kyogo Furuhashi pulled up with a hamstring injury.  Almost four weeks since he returned for the League Cup Final and nearly three weeks since the recurrence of his injury forced an early exit against St Johnstone.

You and I have been watching football long enough to know that from the off, we are told players will need three weeks to recover from even a mild hamstring strain.  Kyogo may well be superhuman, but he has not been permitted this recovery period.

A return against Hibs on Monday looks foolhardy, I would also be reluctant to play him against Alloa the following weekend.  The Hearts game at Tynecastle on 26 January is exactly a month after his last outing, that should be his target.

    Brilliant posts!

  5. That post from bada…….The stats sure warms the ole cockles..

If we ever get the finishing right……Some monkey team is in for a hammering…

  6. Starting 11..Mullen..Corr Anderson Paterson (C) Murrray Carse Davidson

    Wylie Dawson Summers Brooks……

I wonder how many of these names if any ..make into Sellic folklore

  7. The Creetpwn flag out on display at Gretna. Great to see.

Gretna now have a plastic pitch. Shame.

  8. @Scaniel..you just got to love that wee face of Louise Gould as she says

“Cmon you bhoys in green” lol

  9. Sorry to see Andy M losing – a few years ago he would have ‘skooshed it’ – however he is back on court doing what he loves – that’s great to see. The strength in depth in Men’s tennis is staggering, probably at its zenith.

`The Creetpwn flag out on display at Gretna. `

I assume that means `Creeptown` but I still don`t understand. What is the Creeptown flag?

I think that is true of all major sports now. Sports science and technology have combined to lessen the gap between the `Greats` and the `very goods`.

  12. Bit of a let off. Gretna forward down after crashing into the post. Unlike Big Chris, he’s walked it off.

  13. @Bourne….Touche won’t click on shortbreads link…..

But in my head that lovely moment is real ..

Yes indeed, although more pronounced in individual sports. The gap in football between the ‘haves’ & ‘have nots’ continues to grow.

By the way the new ‘CELTIC BY NUMBERS’ article which analyses our goal-scoring/chances/shots, makes very interesting reading; e.g. says many of the good openings we create are falling to the wrong players to finish.

Trying to type without specs….. but wherever Celtic play you’ll find the CREETOWN CSC flag.

Creetown is a wee village about 6 miles from Newton Stewart which is a real ceepy town!

    Hope that clears that up.

Game here at Gretna all Celtic but like Celtic Analytics the chances seem to be falling to the wrong players.

  16. 2-3 Total F*ck up. Big punt up the park and lone striker knocks it in. We are all over them and could have score 5 since halftime

    I know what you mean.

But BBC’s radio commentary is very contrasting to BBC TV coverage at the time with a very different audio, in which you can hear the 12,000 or so, Celtic legion singing. BBC TV didn’t capture that sound, though they made up with a brilliant commentary from Kenneth Wolstenholme who epitomised the word ‘commentary’ IMO

  18. Throwing everything at Gretna. Hit the post. 2 penalties turned down, make that three, keeper just tipped one over that was going in.

    FT 3-3

Keeper now having a fight with Wylie at final whistle.

  19. @Bourne The bold Kenneth…An auld uncle of mine… long gone ..had links to him.

Farnworth grammar i think….. Good stuff from you as always..

  21. Ok how many on here had a wee chuckle when Watford equalized and/or a smile on their face when lowly Norwich had one of their rare wins over the Toffees.

And to think some of our support were salivating over the thought of howe or raffa leading our team.

  22. Very enjoyable game. Brooks very tenacious. Paterson and Murray a good pairing at the back. Wylie probably the stand out. Should have been out of sight. Great second half performance.

Hail Hail the Celts were here.

  23. DRAMBOWIECELT

Makes a change from me having to rely on updates in the “big” games which I’m very, very grateful for.
