JOHN KENNEDY ended a 27-year association with Celtic when he left the club with Brendan Rodgers last night.
The former Hoops and Scotland international defender, who has worked as No.2 to Neil Lennon and Ange Postecoglou as well as the Irishman, is one of a handful of backroom members who have departed Parkhead.
First-team coaches Adam Sadler and Jack Lyons along with fitness guru Glen Driscoll have also moved on, according to the Scottish Sun.
The exit of 42-year-old Kennedy, who joined the club as a teenager in 1999, is a surprise.

TWO FOR THE ROAD…John Kennedy and Brendan Rodgers share the dug-out.
He had been tipped to have a great playing future before suffering a serious knee injury on international duty.
Unfortunately, his comeback battle ended in tears and he was forced to retire before taking a post as a scout with the Hoops before moving up the ranks to help with squad duties.
However, that all came to a halt with the last-night statement that Rodgers had resigned with immediate effect and Martin O’Neill was returning in an interim capacity with Shaun Maloney as his assistant.
Gavin Strachan and Stevie Woods are expected to stay in the present positions.
