It was Kilmarnock who denied Celtic a treble last season, when they stuck to plan and delivered a 1-0 League Cup win at Rugby Park. Derek McInnes is short of quality but knows how to get results against Celtic, he will come with a plan tomorrow.
Celtic have been imperious at home this season, Aberdeen are the only Scottish side who have avoided defeat when visiting this season. This form should fortify confidence for tomorrow’s Scottish Cup tie.
I expect to see Kuhn return to the starting lineup, with Kyogo through the middle. Get the job done, Celtic.

A club with no money have just signed a player on loan from Lille a Centre Half
And this is what Ibrox Noise say about this new CH
“Rafael Fernándes has probably played less football in the last three seasons than yours truly and is certainly not match fit”
“
Hope he is Rafael……….

Good to know hope it’s true.
Do people forget Adam Idah last season?.Remember the guy who scored vital goals for us?.He is not a consistent starter, does not help his match fitness. This is affecting quite a few players, but beause of the amount of games we are forced to play, rotation has to be used.Give gthe guys a break,FFS,and the manager.Apart from the amount of games, most are taking place on either, bog heavy,or Tattie field surfaces,3 times a week.
You have never known success like this, about time you started enjoying it.

Accounts are last years news.
It’s next years and beyond which those takes with guiding the club should be focused on.
One business is waking up to this in Glasgow. The other has been doing it for 30 years now. With a wee perhaps necessary and justifiable exception for the MON era.
Have we signed anybody yet?
David Pleat has signed up 🤣 he’ll have a good network of contacts it probably wasn’t newsworthy but it is the world we are now in.
As soon as someone signs the club will announce everything else is just speculation.
I don’t post very often but I try to read everyone’s contribution.
It’s certainly got weird, I can’t put my finger on what’s causing all the angst .
Over the years I’ve agreed pretty much with every one of Paul’s articles but something is afoot lately, I’ve even questioned if Paul is writing them all.
I’ve never seen CQN as a forum to slag off the team or players , originally it started out as somewhere we could go that was outside of the MSM and their anti Celtic agenda when sir moonbeams was calling the shots.
Nearly every contributor was on the same page and very few zoomers would post .
I have no intention to slag off any posters either but there’s definitely been a sea change for some.
My own feeling is we should back Brendan, take the risk of spending a little extra and see if it gets us up a level. We are not there yet but it’s close, we have money in the bank and real assets in the squad if there are setbacks.
Surely a balance can be found between those bought for development and those that are ready made, and it’s a yes for me with bringing back KT.
As others have said, it’s a fantastic time to be a supporter, we are much stronger together. Remember , other than ourselves no one has our best interests at heart.
One last thing if you don’t mind. Don’t read the newspapers, don’t listen to the radio or tv except when it’s MON or Lenny or WGS , they tell the truth good and bad . Also try getting to the game if you can it’s better for your heart and if it has to be the telly then keep the sound down, especially when sleekit sally is on.
Good afternoon all from ma hoose.
Nice post BORGO, but common sense is unlikely to catch on.
Enjoy the journey, enjoy the ride, enjoy the ups and downs. But, above all ………. enjoy Celtic and this fabulous time we live in for our Club.

What a performance and result for Bournemouth today.
Interesting article about Iraola.

The part about central defenders having licence to ping longer passes (with the consequent drop in pass completion %) will resonate with some posters here.

FFP is not going to have a significant impact on celtic in the short to medium term. I dont think we spend 70% of our income on the football department at the moment. There is also scope for spending outwith that % subject to the clubs financial health. Celtic has never been as financially healthly despite spending millions on lennoxtown and barrowfield most recently. I expect the infustructure projects will safe money over the longer term.
I expect celtic have decided to highten spend on player purchase on basis that european football has expanded and that offers more scope for earning. Celtic will continue to try to trade up on players.
I would also expect more infustructure work in and around the stadium to generate more match and non match day income.

Well said. This is far from the place that CQN was in its early years.
Tons of negativity directed at players – and astonishing negativity directed at the Manager.
All at a time when we are doing better than usual in Europe. A whole bunch of points ahead in the league. Only lost ONE game domestically. Already won the League Cup.
Heading for League number 13 out of 14.
That said, there are some good posters who raise issues that make me think, so I still drop in for a bit.
Cheers,
Weeron
Celtic could not attract a better manager than Brandon Rodgers who is doing a very good job. Clubs all round the world spend millions signing up players after extensive profiling. Some settle and thrive and some don’t, some hit the ground running and some are slow burners. Celtic have a way ofbworking that is effective for the most part and we have enjoyed a lot of success.

Could I ask what millions of pounds has Celtic spent on Celtic Park and Lennoxtown,I know our club is spending £20+on Barrowfield, how is it progressing.
TURKEYBHOY from earlier
Cannot agree more. The number of games being played over the past few weeks is way past ridiculous. And as you say , most pf these away games have been on dung heaps.
Seems like some, never happy, I am and history will tell the success of late and we should not lose sight of that.
Big win tonight please.

Billy McNeill’s 1st competitive fixture as Celtic boss was against Clyde. It was not a league game nor a Scottish cup, league cup or Glasgow cup tie.Any idea?
■■ I posed a question last week in which John Barnes as manager of Celtic and his opposite number made UK footballing history. The game played at Celtic Park, albeit a friendly, was the first time both managers came from a black background.Who was the other manager?■■
