Kilmarnock don’t enjoy Celtic Park

Kilmarnock don’t enjoy visits to Celtic Park, winning only once there since 1955, but seldom have they been on the receiving end of such a humiliating result from such a young and inexperienced Celtic team. You and I have seen these games – especially in the League Cup – go wrong so many times in recent seasons: Morton, Falkirk and Partick, to name just three.

What we have at the club now is energy and purpose that makes even our experiments seem potent. Brendan Rodgers must have been delighted at what he got from his players.

For some, like Leigh Griffiths, it was another hour nearer full fitness. These minutes are crucial in preparation for the almighty test of the season against Astana at Celtic Park one week from today.

Really pleased Roy Aitken will be around Celtic Park more often in future in his new role as Club Ambassador.  Roy was a huge figure at Celtic in the 70s and 80s, but there’s at least one generation since who know little about him.

    Imagine how boring this blog would be if you only spoke about football.

     

    It’s the care in the community posts that keep it entertaining.

     

    CQN has a really good mix of posts and that’s why I read it when I can.

    Looking for some info on this song,they claim as one of “their own”.

     

     

    I have been going through some old vinyl I have come across up in my loft,and discovered some Rangers/Orange/Paramilitary LP’s…

     

     

    I have one by The Millar Memorial from Belfast,and this is one of the tunes on the “football medley” tracks………

     

     

    The album is dated from 1968.

     

     

    What club was this song originally associated with……….?

     

     

     

    Someone came back with,”I know Glen Daly recorded it in 1961″Was met with”Eff off Taig”

     

    They finally decided it was not a Celtic Song as it came originally,from a Musical,by Gilbert and Sullivan !!!!!!!.

     

    Deary me,the stupidity of these morons never ceases to amaze me.Never.

    If it’s not the fish, it’s the dish, and then there’s talks about a fox, the conversation was getting better,, then bugger it all, in stepped the moderator.

     

     

    Me an the guys where having a laugh, the someone grassed to the CQN staff, I could guess who it was but it would make the situation blunt, all I can say is I detest that, ….can’t find an ending let me get back to you on this one. :))
