  1. No hard to look where the problem lies. From todays starting line up you would keep maybe one from the back 4, 2 from midfield, The other 8…not good enough.

Keeper and striker the absolute priorities

  2. Yep …… most of us accept what a clusterf#ck it has been since Brendan’s return.

A mix of poor planning and player procurement on the part of the board and

poor tactical approach by Brendan Rodgers.

Continuing on this track will result in our failure to win the league this season

    No brainer.

  3. Dessybhoy,

Not sticking up for GT,but your statement Killie stuck 2 men on him and roasted him,is unbelievable.

  4. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

Said at half time that defence gave me the fear. Killie could easily have scored 4 today. What was Rodgers seeing I couldn’t?

  5. When we were 7 points clear in October I think the view from most supporters was that we hadn’t been playing very well and could only get better.

Instead of getting better we’ve got worse, the gamble of bringing BR back is beginning to look a dodgy bet.

We look like a team with no physicality and not enough skilful players to keep the ball. The signing of only young projects is not working.

Hate to say , but there is a whiff of the failed 10 in a row season, the 5 League games before the winter break are now critical for this manager and team.

  6. I lost track of the number of subs, but assuming we still had availability, I don’t know why Yang was kept on after his injury (which was the result of a dangerous move by the Killie player) . We effectively played the last 10 mins with 10 men.

    Clearly stated.

  8. Bringing back to pantomime bad guy in the summer, who tells us everything is great the. Doesn’t use any of the players the great system brought in, is him doing what he does, the players aren’t playing for him that much is obvious. He moaned about the park, ge moaned about the squad quality for weeks and he has totally demotivated the the squad.

Look at kyogo and calmac as red flags as soon as Brendan walked in the door. Both fell off a cliff.

Phillips is better than nawrocki and gustaf? Cone on.

It’s a complete orchestrated mess or it’s a giant pantomime and we are all being taken for mugs like 10iar season with Peter back in place and Dermott counting the receipts.

Completely fed up with everything to do with the club, today has been coming for weeks, no corners turned etc. Brendan is a trouble maker and Peter being back is a perfect storm or is it intended?

  9. everybody and their granny knowns we have no height , physicality or body strength throughout the team and at every game the same players are targeted during attacks , we have a goalie who is over 6 feet tall and is as weak as water when it comes to protecting his goal , he is here to add to his pension pot easy money with no challenge to his position.

  10. Phillips, Scales, Taylor, Oh, Yang, Palma and M. Johnston should never be near a Celtic jersey again,

  11. TB

They did and often, zero support on the whole left side, doubling up constantly second half it could have been more bad as we played Johnston did not have the same issues ot the right his support wasn’t any better.

  12. A GUTLESS 2nd half showing from MOST of the Celtic Players.

KYOGO, YANG, SCALES, O’RILEY can be excused.

To lose a match from THAT WINNING Position was truly shocking. I dont mind losing a match ( Cos its a game of Fitba)…, but MOST of the Celtic players were GUTLESS in that 2nd half.

They allowed that Killie Mob to BULLY them and OUT FIGHT Them in every department.

Brendan Rodgers must also share some of the blame, and HE and MOST of those Celtic ” Players” Today SHOULD DONATE their weeks wages to the Celtic CHARITY for the Weans !

Celtic SHOULD make FULL REFUNDS to those Celtic supporters who paid for a Ticket to watch THAT GUTLESS display.

Were some of the Celtic players too busy thinking about Feneyoord on Wednesday ?

  13. Felt that result was coming. We have been below par for a while, doing just enough too win SPL games. When I saw the starting line-up, first thought was that looks like a really weak Celtic team. To be fair, we did ok first half and matched them physically. Phillips had a good half, winning corners in both boxes. Second half we just never started. The pitch and the weather didn’t help but no excuses, we were shocking.

Hope Yang is ok. That was a reckless challenge that should have had VAR call the ref over for a look. We’re going to have to find another couple gears quickly.

Totally agree, I used the “perfect storm” expression on here a few weeks ago, but I’m a hun…..

The board are cowards, simple as that.

Allow Scottish football to be run for one team and sit on their hands week after week making jokes about “penalty to Rangers”

Brought back a man who shafted us.

They have no moral compass, they don’t give a flying feck about the supporters.

It may take the huns winning a treble for things to actually be brought to a head.

  15. I’m with you BD on MJ – loadsa skill no brain/hasn’t moved on from being the best player in the school yard – that may well help other teams but not us – we need a player who make half a yard then pass ; not make half a yard then beat the player again.

It’s telling that MJ is the only player BR can turn to in an injury crisis. Also indicates angeball and BR are diametric opposites.

  16. glendalystonsils on

That was probably the worst since Neil Lennon’s last season in charge . We need a huge recruitmant turnaround but more importantly we need a complete change of attitude from those responsible for the club’s direction . The only thing we’ve strengthened is the bank balance . Everything else is deteriorating .

  17. The MJ experiment looks over.

Who is responsible for checking his footwear?

Slipped several times and its not as if he is a big heavy ghuy suddenly changing direction.

Oh …. forgot, we don’t have many of those.

    Killie do.

  18. The same guys were the same height under Ange and weren’t bullied, not buying the height thing.

    It’s motivation.

    Good luck with that.

    With the Lawwells in place.

  20. ONIL

If the current hun team wins the treble , we would be as well packing it in .

Like most on here , really starting to worry about bringing BR back now .

Hope I’m wrong but difficult not be very concerned now .

  21. lets all do the huddle on

everybody and their granny knowns we have no height , physicality or body strength throughout the team

i have been saying that on here since the Deila days.

it has been the same ever since

its no fluke that our biggest euro successes of the last 2 decades were when we had a much more physical team.

and it isnt just about height

its about physicality on the ball and in the challenges

we are very weak in all areas

  22. lets all do the huddle on

Paul67 will be on shortly to call us all panty wetters (while he childishly sniggers at using the phrase)

so that will put us all back in our place

  23. Its a fact to state BR is an elite coach with a proved record of success at te very top of the game.

I was amazed when he returned to Celtic, having won every domestic tournament he entered first time, what as the motivation?

I have enough confidence in his ability to build a winning team , but he needs to be carefull , we have evry little forward momentum t the moment.

I victory in the Glasgow Derby and some first team acquisitions in January are now a must

  24. sean T

compare the challenge on yang to that by AJ a few mins earlier – AJ booked…

oddity Munro is the next Willie Collum

    —-

He’ll throw the kitchen sink at BR( fair enough) and say eff all about Mark Lawwell and our recruiting.

This team has gone back at an astonishing rate. Our summer transfer window couldn’t have gone any worse had we given a cheque book to a hun season ticket holder. Not one signing is a good enough to be a Celtic first team regular. Not one.

  26. bournesouprecipe on

Now you see why a cheating SFA and Sevco don’t miss a beat?

Gap whittling away as Brendan Rodgers shuffles his ‘unwanted’ squad players, now beaten twice on the same plastic pitch. That league cup defeat as predicted, was a marker for things to come, and now three draws and a defeat put the title, clearly in harms way.

Brendan Rodger’s transparent press conference resentment in having to select a mixture of old players and any summer signings that are up for selection. Some others apparently don’t even come close.

Nat Phillips (see Paul 67 on Friday) ‘should’ be able to slot in for CCV, except that he clearly wasn’t. A succour’s own goal rubber stamped the ‘emergency’ CB’s unsuitability all the way back down the M74 and never stop.

To a man The Celtic defence was a return of the ‘trembling mince’ from the kick off, not just the second half collapse, where the midfield caved in to kick and rush football. Killie aided by mad dog McKinnes saw Celtic’s softness and exposed McGregor, and other ‘invisibles’ O’Riley and Tomoki.

To a man this Celtic side, let down the new grumpy Brendan, and his flawed system of ‘works one week, but not the next’. A. Johnston and Greg Taylor were torn a new one, Luis Palma and M.Johnston were woeful, so why not bring on last week’s woeful ?

We should have known we were in for trouble, when all the the manager was could do was pray for rain.

  27. BR was asked earlier about bringing in reinforcements in the window, his reply was that he hoped to have some players back, looks like the bank balance will be fine.

Have to say I was happy that BR was coming back, must hold the hands up and say that I am worried now about his appointment, I said a while back that I was concerned about his relationship with our chairman, looks like my worries were justified, things are not right behind the scenes, a blind man can see that, and I will say again, we don’t win the league this season, we can kiss goodbye to the CL for years to come, what with the PLC hoarding cash and the hun going on a spending spree, we have no chance of CL football given the change of format .

    FC not PLC

  28. the long wait is over on

Hard to know what’s for the best for the CL game midweek.

Play our best players and risk a good result versus another confidence sapping defeat or write it off and play a second string and rest some players – especially cal Mac and o’riley – before a four game domestic run where we have to win every game in my view.

  29. did BR not say before the game that we would see a different Celtic performance from the previous game at killie , he got that right , we were worse.
