Brendan Rodgers inherited a very good Leicester team .
He won an FA cup ,and a European place .
But slowly over a few transfer windows he ruined it .
He then got Leicester into a position where they were almost certain to be relegated .
He did not have the confidence that he would keep them up.
When times got hard ,he resigned .
Abandon ship was his response to adversity .
He wanted to try and save his reputation.
Brendan is all about Brendan .
He hangs out everyone around him to dry .
He is never to blame .
How he is ruining Kyogo is scandalous .
How he think’s Oh is better than Kyogo is criminal .
I fear that he is not a man for the trenches.
All that being said
The reason we are free falling is mostly down to the atrocious standard of our recruitment over the last 2 or 3 windows.
Multi Millions wasted on players who anre either too short ,lightweight ,slow ,and lacking in power or technical ability.
That’s before we consider the lack of heart and desire .
I point in Europe ,a 6 goal thrashing ,and several impotent domestic performances are warning enough .
The standard of the other SPFL teams is very poor .
The results in Europe show this .
Is it complacency from our leaders or deliberate ,or just ineptitude ?
We still have a lead .
However if this form continues we are in danger of losing it soon enough .
Our recruitment in January must succeed .
The law of averages makes that unlikely .

This team has gone back at an astonishing rate. Our summer transfer window couldn’t have gone any worse had we given a cheque book to a hun season ticket holder. Not one signing is a good enough to be a Celtic first team regular. Not one.

after P67’s “panty wetter” insult in august i said fair enough, we eventually did sign a number of players so i would wait until november/december to see how many of them work out in terms of being automatic first picks in our starting 11.

Of course the SFA and their refs/Var refs are doing their best to give Sevco every chance of winning the league and securing their future . But you have to say we are doing our bit for them too .You can’t blame the players on the park either , it’s not their fault that they shouldn’t be in a Celtic jersey. The fault for that lies further up .

to be fair to Nat he did fine the first half hour or so, a few good striding runs out of defence over the half way line to move us forward
but then fell apart like the rest as soon as there was any pressure applied

Nat Philip carrying the can…no where near good enough, but if OH puts away one the 3 chances he had in the first half, we would be talking about a routine victory at difficult venue.

To repeat, when the opposition always raise their game playing Celtic you will simply not get away playing a team with 4/5/6 average players.
Take the back 4 today, 3 out of 4 of them are average players. We can carry Taylor if playing beside Starfeld, CCV, AJ/JJ. You can’t carry him playing alongside Scales and Philips. You can’t carry Philips playing alongside Scales and Taylor. You can’t carry Scales playing alongside Philips and Taylor. Get my drift?
In midfield I would say 1 of the 3 is average. Up front I’ll be kind and say 2 out of the 3 is what I would describe as an average player.
By my reckoning we had only 3 or 4 outfield players today that I would consider to be good enough to be nailed on starters.

Last season’s CL campaign showed we were short. Two-three players needed to come straight into the team. Then we lose two (or three if you call Mooy a first eleven player). So four-six needed. We get none.
No surprise that we don’t strengthen from a position of strength because we never do. Actually weakening takes it up a level.
Anyway, looking better for a good old old firm title race which will please some…..

The above is the type of thing that separates a recruitment specialist from a football fan. Phillips may tick boxes but he’s clearly unsuited to Celtic – see Shane Duffy.
Someone earlier talking about Lagerbielke being the top defender in Sweden last year…
Anyone of us can spend an afternoon looking up player of the year awards in Norway, Sweden, Japan and Korea to name a few places…
But a real specialist goes beyond this and looks to see if the players can fit our system.
Our entire recruitment process looks like it is being driven by potential profit and sell on as opposed to getting players the manager needs for his system.

I reckon the game is rigged. That 10 in a row season, it was pretty obvious that something was afoot.
Perhaps Sevco need the money from next years CL so badly that they will be permitted to win the league.
If you look at the draw in the Europa League, the year they got to the final, they got the worse team (outwith themselves) at every turn. They needed the money. Bassey for 20million. Touch of the Boumsong Bung about that one.
Where would they have been without that cash? They’d be dead. Because they are in debt today, after all of it. Look at the draw they got in Europe this season. Did they select those teams themselves? UEFA are in on it all.
And we’re being taken for mugs. Is the reason that Celtic won’t spend any money, because if Sevco don’t win anything they’ll end up like Rangers were in 1985 with Celtic supporters taking three stands on Old Firm days.
Personally i would be quite happy never to see, hear or play a club that has any association with the dead Rangers or the terminally ill Sevco.
As for Sky Sports, anyone paying that scum for anything is just not worth bothering with.

4 of our next 5 home games at home will be a liability and not a benefit imo.
If the same lack of effort, fight, energy, dig, motivation, mental strength, bravery, physical endeavour and belief are apparent then our faithful will totally understandably soon let them know.
Gone are the days where support have the patience for it all. Even I am thinking putting up the Xmas tree and writing cards might be better than Wednesday night watching that lot and listening to 50,000 or so ‘experts’ who have been waiting 2 and half years to say ‘I told you so’.
