H/T
HT 0-0
Charley with 3 defenders round him
The ball will need to be persuaded to return in the second half……….
There is plastic pitches and crap plastic pitches, the killie one is the latter
Spout as much hyperbole as you want chappies, but credit where credit is due, so far it appears that another exciting young manager has got his tatics spot on. Or maybe the sponsored boot aren’t up to the surface. may change in second half who knows.
HT nae goals, nae fitbaw.
If charly draws 3 men – surely we have otheRd in space to exploit
surface doesn’t allow players to challenge and win the ball , footwear sticks in plastic surface and the ball seems to be like glue and stay in position.
Grounds men on to pitch with Hoovers and polish machines.
Zamboni wouldn’t start.
The only positive Kilmarnock have is the knowledge we will play to win today.
Any other team with their two centre halves out injured would settle for a draw, shut up shop and kill the game.
Kouassi, one foul = booked.
Greer, Broadfoot & Mulumbu = impunity.
AMDG clancy
Could show collum a thing or two about uncle tomism.
Takes a lot of concentration to play the way Killie are playing, let’s see if they are able to maintain it in the second half
Hands up if you’ve ever seen a good a game on one of these pitches??
Ron67,
Their big midfielder doesn’t seem to be having any problems tackling, he’s owning that midfield
Poor pitch, yes much changed side..agree
But that’s still not good enough.
Vale Bhoy,
I have to agree with your assessment of the ref. It’s the inconsistency that frustrates us all.
Booking for Kouassi and loss of our Centre halfs
Plus
A very tight and poor surface
Has totally disrupted our team
Let’s hope for better in 2nd half
Terrible surface….not even suitable for a kick about let alone an SPFL game.
How many more injuries will Celtic suffer in this game?
Shocking pitch and old fox Clarke make statement in the first 49
dire minutes, how Kilmarnock have stopped the rot in one easy lesson?
Celtic denied both starting CB’s and any football looks highly unlikely from our footballing side in the period to come.
We need a break big time , now with little or no aerial threat Kilmarnock will get their 0-0 unless BR’s has another trick up his sleeve.
OVERSEASBHOY
Correct but he’s not getting past them. One will stop him, anyhow, (they’ll take turns)and clancy won’t bat an eyelid.
Watch for the pulls and pushes and feet left in.
clancy will let them.
Fat Sally getting excited about Kilnarnock.
The pitch is a disgrace. This isn’t football we’re watching. My 9 year old plays on a better surface.
Killie flooding the midfield, denying us space. Don’t think Moussa has touched the ball more than 3 times in the whole half.
Watching those wee cheerleaders and not one has slipped on that greased surface.
Swap footwear with them!
We should look at refusing tickets for this ground until they remove this lethal surface.
This has to be the worst pitch in Scotland. In the circumstances a point might be a good result.
That park should be, and I think Steve Clarke will get it ripped up in the summer
Don’t want to jinx the Bhoy but think Jack Hendry has had a decent game, sometimes having a defender just clearing his lines isn’t a bad thing !
Big Packy on previous thread, I wasn’t trying too annoy you but just keeping you informed re our favourite bakery :-)
This I see getting worrying losing two players in the first 45 minutes last Saturday and another two in the first half hour today. Killie are well organised and playing very well. They have three men on Charly and indeed on all of our forward players when in possession. Jordan Jones looks like a player and Musumbu as well. We need to impose ourselves more but it’s hard when you have to constantly reorganise the team. Can anyone tell me why Eboue has been booked for two fouls while Kilmarnock are getting away with foul after foul without a card been shown?
What a horrible first 45 minutes. The injuries have definitely disturbed our flow and given Kilmarnock a lift.
Not helped by a few of our players being strangely off it today. James Forrest possibly the worst offender.
A horrible pitch ,narrowed down to 5-a-side width and two rows of parked buses. Add in frequent wee fouls ,boots left in, pushes, jersey tugs all ignored by Clancy and you have a game of non-football.
I would settle for 1-0 and no more injuries.
Two key players out for a lengthy spell ???
In the greater scheme of things……It might now be time for Celtic to say we will not play on these surfaces again, they are a danger to our employees safety/ injury … and if need be you can stick your 3 points….Shut that midden down…
Is Forrest playing, not heard him mentioned.
Very difficult to play on that surface. There is no consistency with the ball bouncing on the carpet.
We should see how they win ball and knock it forward early to cause confusion and injury.
Moussa received no service and JF ineffective as he has nowhere to go being glued to touchline.
We need to mix up the passing to force them to adjust their formation.
Credit to Kilmarnock . Well set up and looking really compact defensively. Mulumbu in particular showing well for them.
Really difficult to adjust to losing two centre backs in one half, talk about unlucky.
Don’t expect Brendan to use his last sub at halftime, think he’ll tweak the formation instead.
Ineffective attacking play from us so far, pitch not helping on that front.
Lots of improvement from us second half hopefully.
HH
Steve Clarke is a good manager and he’s made a huge difference to Kilmarnock, we’ll have to do well to leave here with three points with the team shape being altered so much from our two injuries.
We’re looking at some Sinky or Charly magic to open the door.
Mon The Hoops!
How much was the pitch to blame when Kilmarnock took a point away from Celtic Park on 28 October Hmmmm
Need to take less touches, difficult on that pitch though….
There can’t be one player out there that enjoys playing on that ‘pitch’,you can’t tackle, run, change direction or even land properly without fear of an injury
Hendry looks decent, no-nonsense. Has stuck to the basics.
Charly, some nice touches again but no space. Clarke clearly knows he’s the danger man.
Kieran needs to run into space more, he is causing them trouble when he is direct. James Forrest appears to be hiding again – not good enough.
Koussi was booked for his first challenge. Clancy ignoring all the week shoves and kicks from the Killie players.
Against Hearts we were fast at moving the ball. The pitch makes it difficult, but we need to try to get that style back.
