  1. God bless the Glasgow Celtic , pretty sure this will be a pivotal title and will see us in upward trajectory for a long time to come.

Cup final will be interesting …. keep thinking we will stick 8 past the Hun … as the grandkids say … you never know !

Time for bed……..title secured.Let that sink in fellow Celts.Injuries,a loss of form….then WHOOSH…since the disappointment from the Hearts result, the troops rallied.A brilliant run ending tonight in a fantastic result.

  5. Just realised that all those who castigated me for calling out the hunterlopers, where are they all now, oh they were the hunterlopers

  6. glendalystonsils on

Looking back , that Tynecastle Mib stitch up was pivotal in galvanising us and fuelling our fire for the run in. It gave Brendan the opportunity to mark their card after they went too far .

  7. !!Bada Bing!! on

If Clarke doesn’t take Jamesie to the Euros, with the Squad increased to 26,he’s a fool

  8. What is the Starz on

Oh well ,we can all be happy for a while….until next August when we haven’t signed anyone (except a couple of projects maybe) and then the usual round of “sack the board” no ambition, absentee landlord, bean counter Lawwell etc.

Then in September after Rangers have signed 20 duds for “mullions and mullions “…It will be the usual …”Lawwell is trying to keep the old firm alive, the board need Rangers to win this year etc…and of course the Brendan will walk etc.

I love the merry go round of lunacy one gets on these pages…but let me ask you this dear comrades…

    HAVE THEY NOT SUFFERED ENOUGH

  9. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

My wife, who has little interest in football, has just said there is an air of despondency in the Sportscene studio.

jeez wehave just done the huns out of the Champs Title….

    Cheated …etc etc…..and our blog is ………

  12. Okay you have Bowie’s ‘Sound and Vision’ as the intro followed by

“There is only one thing more certain than a Celtic or Manchester City title celebration and that is…..”

The mighty Gordon Smart (a Hibee to be fair) on his Radio 5 Night show this evening

Listen out and for his Monday night show with Professor Joe Bennett (Berkley School of Music, Boston MA) a musician and renouned musicologist, and looked forward to his broadcasts from Germany in the company of the even mightier Martin Compston. Special mention too for the resplendant Elidh Barbour tonight, who so much brought her own brand of enthusiasm to the post match celebrations that I almost mistook her for a Celtic Ghirl. Well done her!

  13. Sportscene studio … has King Charles died ? What a bunch of utter morons felt sorry for Chas having to sit through that guff…

Makes it even better seeing the pain !

  14. Majestic Hartson on

Another thing that BR should be getting credit for – when he came in he said that MOR should be scoring more goals.

Him being our joint top scorer shows the quality of Brendan’s coaching.

  15. Just watched the highlights.

I knew Idah played well, but actually he was outstanding !

  16. madrarua

Adam has got something about him, still young, and brings and adds to us.

I’m beginning to think he would be a good signing for us going forward, Norwich might just miss that at Leeds tomorrow. Could be a twenty plus goal scorer for us next season.

  17. Tom McLaughlin on

I have decided, after lengthy consideration, not to renew my season ticket. I have been a current ST holder since I returned from Australia in 2014.

I attended my first Celtic game on 16th December 1961 when my late father took me to see Celtic beat Hibs 4-3 at Celtic Park. I was 8 years-old.

I have been a Celtic supporter for 63 years and will be until I draw my last breath.

Unfortunately this season I have started to struggle on my old legs and find it difficult to climb the steps at Celtic Park without having to hold on to my son’s arm and when unaccompanied, I have to grab onto the seats as I negotiate the stairs and sometimes I have to rely on kind strangers to grab me and stop me from going down.

I can walk unaided on level ground without a problem. My issue seems to be at half-time and full-time after I have been sitting for 45 minutes or more and my legs begin to sieze up.

I am delighted to know that I will finish my visits to Paradise on Saturday by celebrating yet another league title. The cup final will be my last game and hopefully I will be celebrating a glorious double.

I grew up with 4 brothers, all Celtic fanatics. All 4 and my parents have sadly departed and I am the sole survivor.

No regrets. I have enjoyed my 63 years as a Celtic supporter, from Big Billy’s winner in my first Cup Final in 1965, through our European Cup win in 1967 and my numerous European ventures following my beloved Hoops with my brothers, plus tuning in early morning during my 9 years in Australia and 2 years in the USA.

My 2 sons are also season ticket holders and I am currently in the process of transferring my ST to my nephew.

Thank you dad and thank you Celtic for 63 wonderful and unforgettable years and I look forward to many more years supporting from my armchair.

    Goodnight and Hail Hail.

  18. Are we really champions,

What a performance to clinch it.

Big ups to Brendan. Few would’ve pulled that off this season.
