Brilliant title! The wearing of my pairs of green socks (which I do for a day or two after every good result) might well be extended throughout the summer – a whole happy summer now when we are champions; and do not have the stress of champions league qualifying ahead. I will start my personal celebration today with treating myself to new book. I remember trying to help myself get over our loss of the title on the last day at Motherwell by going straight out to Waterstones and buying a new book, but it didn’t work (although perhaps Raymond Carver wasn’t the best choice in the circumstances)! This win has almost the reverse feeling of that day. I think buying to celebrate is a much better idea.

Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes:
“It was probably the toughest 90 minutes we have had to endure. They would have beaten any team in the league tonight.
—————
Fair play to McInnes.
It’s the best I’ve seen us play all season.
I’d sign big Idah up as soon as possible if I was Brendan. His hold up play and driving at the Killie defence with the ball was brilliant. As was his pass to Maeda for Forrest’s goal.
He also scored a crucial second goal. Although, on that form, we’d still have gone on to smash Killie.
He’s a handful and completely differ from Kyogo, which is what we need.
Tom, sorry to hear you’re looking to give up your ticket due to mobility issues. By the sounds of it though, you’ve witnessed some amazing times as a Tim. Hope to meet you one day in Edinburgh for a game and/or a pint.
A splendid exhibition of football last night , at least Sky made some sort of effort with Neil and Faddy with the cartoon clown Boyd , on field interviews etc … BBC Sportscene with the resident Hun majority of Thompson and McCann were soooo upset , you could see the pain etched on McCanns face , it was an embarrassment.
Still they are going to be crapping themselves a week on Saturday at Hampden …. Brendan has the midfield playing crafty stuff to release Calum , always on the move to collect the next pass but one …..
Great seeing some of the peripheral players like Lagerbielke, Kuhn, Bain and the likes get so into it.

Thanks for all the great responses to my comment re transferring my ST to my nephew.
I am aware of the various options open to me to mitigate my mobility issues but to be honest, it’s more than that. In the cold winter months I was sometimes finding it a real burden to be at Celtic Park as my ageing bones creaked under the cold and the damp and sometimes I found myself wishing I was watching at home with a beer or a wine.
My nephew is my late brother’s son and he lost his ST after his father passed and he was too young to go it alone. I was in Australia at the time so wasn’t in a position to take him to games. He is absolutely thrilled to take ownership of my ST and I am delighted to pass it on.
I have every Celtic game on my FieStick so won’t miss any games.
The Daily Rangers ” ACE Reporter” ( KEECH JACKSON )….in his match ” Report” he states….” Killie Player ” DEAS” was left ” SPARKED OUT” in the build up to Celtics first Goal ???????
ALL I could see was DEAS having a very small nose bleed ( ONE Nostril ) after a little UNINTENTAIL Contact with Adam Idahs arm just inside Killies half.
One simple question for Keech Jackson on this……” Can you provide EVIDENCE that the Killie Player was SPARKED OUT/ KNOCKED OUT ” ?
Naw….I didnt think so…!

Like most of us I attended my first Celtic game with my dad. That was the early fifties, the era of Bobby Collins, Willie Fernie and Charlie Tully. He took me to my first (league) cup final in 1956 versus Partick Thistle which we won 3-0 in the Wednesday replay, having drawn 0-0 on the Saturday. Billy McPhail scored two and my first Celtic hero, Bobby Collins scored the other. My dad proudly told me that John Jack, our centre-half that day was, like me, from a Lithuanian family. We were high up in the North Stand and when Bobby Evans held up the trophy in the now dim light, I remember looking over and seeing the flashes from the photographers’ cameras reflecting on the big silver cup. My dad had lifted me on to his shoulders and I will always remember his words…”Look at this son, you’ll remember it for the rest of your life.” How right he was. I have forgotten so many things over the ensuing years but that moment remains vivid.
Yesterday my dad would celebrated his hundredth birthday. Thanks dad.

A wee story about my dearly departed brother John, whose son is taking my ST.
John lived and breathed Celtic and never missed a game, no matter where and no matter the status.
In the 70s his wife gave birth to their second child, a daughter. John was a taxi driver and drove his wife and new baby daughter back to the house from the maternity unit early Saturday morning.
After taking the baby carrier into the house, he hugged his wife and said, “I’ll see you tonight.”
She looked at him and said, “You’re not going to the football today are you?”
“Ach you’ll be fine,” he said and off he went.
Who were Celtic playing that day? Away to Berwick Rangers in the cup.

It has not taken Philippe Clement long to discover he is in charge of a batch of unreliable footballers. Rangers’ loss at Celtic Park this month was their seventh in the Premiership; a preposterous record for a team harbouring dreams of the title. At the same juncture, Kilmarnock had lost on only two more occasions.
Clement is not blameless after Rangers imploded in back-to-back games at Ross County and Dundee, when the championship was within their grasp. Their football under the Belgian is rarely inspiring. Nonetheless, he inherited a toxic mix of serial bottle-merchants and bland new arrivals after Michael Beale’s tenure was unceremoniously halted

Well done to brendan and all the players. Champions again despite the record breaking cheating.
Champions again
So many people at Parkhead last night to welcome the team!!!
What a game last night
We rose to the occassion, again
Very happy bhoy
It’s great seeing everybody celebrating but you’ve got to admit it…
We would much rather be the moral champions
Are we joint champions as apparently they were just as good as us
Adam looked like he was playing for a contract last night. I would be happy to keep him if he puts that much effort in every game.

I hope you have many Happy Years following the Hoops even though it won’t be in the Stadium.
