Luke should be given more than 5 minutes. He is a very tidy player who rarely loses possession.

I agree, I think he has a lot more to offer than just a bit player

  2. From what I can gather, not a great performance but two goals, a clean sheet and three points.

    That`ll do for me.

  4. the long wait is over on

    Horrible pitch

    Horrible team of cluggers.

Really solid professional performance and result.

    Defence were terrific.

  5. Brutal tactics from brutal opponents on a brutal pitch.

Few individual errors and looked a little jaded perhaps?

Yet, we do enough to win 2-0 and stay top.

League remains a 2 horse race

  6. Well done to get out of there with three point and, hopefully, all limbs intact. Just a horrible place and a brutal opponent. Great result when out in context.

  11. Great result. Three away ganes after four games in Europe. I think the huns have had four home games 🤔

  12. does anyone have contact with paul john dykes or tommy sheriden at ACSOM ?

they did a brilliant interview with Mick Lynch, but it came up that Jimmy Reid was maybe a partick supporter.

Not true, 10 minutes cine camera 1972 cup final, good watch for the crowd scenes, Jimmy can be seen cheering a celtic goal. see if you know anyone.

Pass it on to them please if you can.

The scales of justice take time to balance, well in Liam’s case he only waited a few days, for his berth back. Good enough with Auston Trusty before today and good enough afterwards.

The Celtic passing game with high press isn’t always possible even domestically, and we saw ‘pragmatic Celtic’ more content with breaking players Idah, Kuhn and Maeda who all struggled in the first half. Kilmarnock should have scored, and to say we were lucky, especially taking the lead would be an understatement.

No time for midfield heroics Celtic had decided to miss it out and get the ball forward, quality finishing is where lots of the budget goes, and Nicolas Kuhn’s pedigree made the difference and made the points safe. Schmeichel doesn’t let much past him, and when he parries it’s usually strongly to safety.

Time to rest with more difficult away games on the horizon including Aberdeen our main rival.

    MOM Nicolas Kuhn

  15. That prk Crocker apologised for the moments silence ,his job is to be neutral, BTW, I don’t hear him apologise for the Billy Boys at every live Sevco game

  17. Killie can count themselves lucky that a certain D.Ross wasn’t running the line because when the elbow on Idah happened he would of held up his flag shouting red card, red card.

    Wouldn’t he?

  18. Smash and grab today, bhoys.

Crucial 3 points considering away ties ahead.

Jambos under the cosh at the midden.

  19. Not at our best today, but that’s what wins leagues. Ground out a solid win on a dreadful pitch against a roughhouse opponent. Excellent clean sheet with Kasper and Scales playing very well. The pitch doesn’t suit our playing style with the ball constantly holding up on the surface. Kuhn once again the game changer scoring a brilliant individual goal. Brendan will be happy to get out of Kilmarnock with the 3 points and now a couple weeks to recuperate after a tough week. Good enough for me.

how very dare the opposition at their own midden make a game of it.

not pretty but i am actually enjoying a competative game.

    =========================/==

With statements like that you should get back to counting empty seats

That was a dire watch on a dire surface but another 3 points and a clean sheet

  22. Delighted with today’s result, let’s recover and recuperate for the Christmas schedule .

In general I’m very happy with the season so far.

Was at a family do in Craigneuk last night, its been years I enjoyed it immensely.

i will try again, it was a competative football match.

the other team at least tried to score.

i wonder how kuhn was able to control that ball and accelerate and then place a shot on that terrible pitvch

  24. Meanwhile the Celtic Ghirls have to play an additional thirty minutes, against Glasgow City, on another diabolical plastic pitch. Jesus if that’s the New Douglas Park I widnae like tae see the aul wan…..

  25. och brodge you canny be saying that, putting positivies spins on things just to suit an agenda,

the internet tells us it was an ugly game on a terrible pitch, so there.

    ———-

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers: “We had to deal with a lot of pressure and direct balls. But to keep a clean sheet and work that hard, especially after midweek, then show moments of quality to get goals, I’m very proud of the team.

“A year ago, that result would maybe have gone the other way. It was a real test of different qualities and we came through it so it shows the team is in a good place.

“Nicolas [Kuhn] is growing and developing. He is disappointed with the one he missed, but his run, touch and finish were sublime. Adding numbers to his game is one of the things we talked about and it’s testament to him that he’s done that.”

  27. has anyone who post here actually played on a modern snthetic pitch ?

or do you remember the old larga type surface that was no more than asto over a firm base ?

my knees are done now because of it,

but my nephews teams, and the local juniors incredibly prefer playing on these flat surface.

  28. lets all do the huddle on

i cant believe anyone watching that game today thinks that is a normal game of football on that pitch.

the way the ball bounces and bobbles.

the way the players have to move to deal with the pitch is completely different.

    everything is different.

its like watching a 7 a side game – you know its kind of the same sport, but isnt really.
