  2. Onlooker.

    100% agreement.

We could have a minutes silence before every game we play as there is inevitably something terrible which has happened somewhere in the world that day or week passed.

Certainly have a minutes silence if an ex player or associate of the club has died but otherwise do not have one.

  3. One of my grandfathers died of a wound contracted in the 1st world war! My father was called up for the 2nd. I don’t really take part in Remembrance Sunday ceremonies but I do believe we should conduct ourselves by observing the minutes silence.

  4. Britain’s history when it comes to wars is dark and dirty. Having a day for the fallen whilst seperating the poliics behind it is a way for governments to whtewash their awful behaviours. We should not be bullied into following like sheep. If you truely want to hold a minute silence do it at an appropriate place (rememberance ceremony) not a fucking football match, sporting event etc… if you insist on having a silence at football matches etc… expect some will not agree and will express their view and disapproval.

Remembering the fallen whilst at the same time facilitating the murder of thousands in the middle east smacks of pure hypocrisy.

  5. I’m convinced more than ever that the rangers PR machine runs some of these Web sites on Facebook etc ……its constant tonight….every few mins the ibrox display

    Rangers do it right

    Rangers class

    Ibrox great as usual

Etc etc on various sites….footy food, football away days. And a couple of others , with the English fawning over them !!!…..

  6. Question:

Did we have minutes silences back in the days of the Jungle?

I was going regularly since early 80’s, but I can not remember if we did or not.

Of course our games would have been Saturdays.

  7. Credit to Brendan – he spun as best he could – however the only good thing about the day was the final result . A game and a day best forgotten – thankfully the international hiatus will allow that to happen to some degree.

I don’t give a monkey’s for international football – not Scotland, nor Denmark, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Korea, Canada, USA, Ireland, Belgium, Japan & Honduras – I just hope Celtic players return fit and healthy. HH

    The Onlooker at 8:40pm …

Cheers but respectfully that is your perception of my logic only.

    I don’t have a huge issue with people disturbing a minute’s silence ….

…. As long as they are prepared to own, and face any consequences of, THEIR behaviour.

    But they don’t.

They remain safely anonymous hiding behind Celtic Football Club.

Well done to get out of there with three point and, hopefully, all limbs intact. Just a horrible place and a brutal opponent. Great result when out in context.

    —————

    Agreed 100%!

Let’s hope they don’t make the top 6 and we won’t have to go back there this season.

  10. I had a grandfather who fought in the great war. He was not a professional solder or trained killer, he was a working man who got sent to fight a war and his reward was returning home. That is not the same as professional military personal who go into war for a wage who go away from home and engage in the killing of folk not able to defend themselves. I pray for the day when the patriotic bullhite stops and we stop allowing wealthy powerful people from manipulating us into a world view that suites their agenda.

  11. SCULLYBHOY and TBFU correct.

Gerry Hitchens was the first player capped for England while playing for a foreign side.

I wonder if the long wait and transparent duplicity was worth it to get what is imagined to be a small foothold.

  13. Banners, a statement and remaining silent for 60 seconds would have been far more powerful, in my opinion.

As it is, any impact has been diluted and the message can be ignored in favour of some manufactured outrage.

The Brigada Verde don’t do tactics very well.

With respect those booing at the celtic game did not request that they be subjected to a minutes silence. They are going about their private lives. I expect most of them would happily avoid all the stuff if possible but if pushed in their faces they should not be bullied into accepting it simply because it saves face.

If I am going about my private life and someone engages me in a conversation tomorrow and asked my views about the booing I would maintain that expressing your view is a right and I don’t particularly like we’re the poppy has ended up.

I think it is crass when i see football clubs and other institutions being almost celebrative when allegedly commemorating the fallen. The tragic and unnecessary death of millions of folk no matter the colour of their uniform is sad. It should be a somber event that people respect in an appropriate place.

Folk complaining cause you don’t observe a minutes silence whilst they are at a football game or in a supermarket comes across as somewhat insincere

    A Saturday.

    Scotland v england.

    Paul Scholes scores both goals.

Neither team thought it fit to wear jerseys with a poppy on them.

  18. What the poppy fascists don’t or can’t understand is that those poor souls who gave their lives protecting democracy did it so we had the freedom not to buy a poppy and/or not observe silence.

    It really is that simple.

    ———-

    Stephbhoy67 – respectfully ….

“They are going about their private lives”

    Factually incorrect.

The above would be the case if they were disturbing a minute’s silence in front of a TV in their own homes.

    This is public behaviour.

And, as I’ve said earlier, they are entitled to behave this way in public if they so choose.

    It’s a free country.

But if they feel that strongly about this?

    Own their behaviour !!!!

    They patently do not.

Celtic get it in the neck every year.

Those exercising their right to disturb a minute’s silence do so in safe anonymity.

They have convictions for sure. Genuine hat tip.

But not the courage of them.

It is not factually incorrect to say they are going about their private lives. You can go about your private life in a pulic space, your private live does not begin and end in your hoose ffs. It’s not like the supporters attended a service and protested against the commemoration of the fallen, they went to a game of football, think about it, a game of football and were told to be quiet whilst a minutes silence took place.

How many lands have been stolen and how many have died at the hands of the British armed forces (any armed force/ empire) so that politic interest could be achieved? Yet we are treated like mugs and folk try to bully you into accepting the shite by whitewashing history. Telling a lie a million times does not change the fact that it’s a lie.

Anyone who has died while serving in the armed forces after conscription ended done so for money. They made a decision to enter and engage in war. They may have been brave but they were not protecting a way of life in many instances they were disrupting other peoples ways of life.

I hope to god one day we stop all the madness, stop the killings and recognise partizan patreotic shite is simply a construct to help build differences and devide to the benefit of the elite.

  22. Good Morning Fholks…

Bit of a sticky game yesterday to say the least.

Our determination a quality shone through in the end, three hard earned points.

Schmeichel was immense yet again, Trusty is becoming another leader and Kuhn is a phenomenal player.

  23. Good morning all from a mild 6 degree Garngad.

The first half we got stiffled by the bores/thugs of Kilmasonic.

Second half a bit better with our play and we settle for 2 could have been more but they could also have had a goal if not for Kasper.

Total thugs are Kilmasonic the CB should have seen red for tackle on Idah take it from an ex (ball playing 🤪)centre half. He meant to DOO Adam.

Also Donnelly tried to elbow Kasper but Kasper pulled his head back.

    Anyway onward we go.

Those who carrying knocks should not be going with their country’s and stay here for some R & R.

    D. :)

  24. Brendan [ symbolically ] threw Timdom and all of its wee dafty belief systems under the bus yesterday as he stood there like a smug bastard chest all puffed out with an Ibrox size masonic poppy on his jacket. Why did BR wear a poppy yesterday? Has he ever worn a poppy before as Celtic manager? If not – then why yesterday? What was he trying to say yesterday? And to whom was he saying it?

Has he been tapped up? Hmmmm.

You see there are lots of deceptions going on and for a while now.

The last 4 years especially has separated the uppity wheat from the succulent chaff.

The poppy masonic ritual now displayed with 2 poppy leaves becoming one poppy leave stapled in the centre of the 2 poppies overlapping is the thick black stud thingy male and female becoming one? Red and Black Eastern StarWitches colours. Thats what masonry is about is it not? Deception? Masonry is judaism for the gentiles with masons as the zio puppets.

Wokeism – transmania – diversity always against white people – kalergi scripted invasion of Christian mainly White countries by people who live thousands of miles away and hate Christian cultures and ways of life – rainbow emblem = the ultimate trap. Go and study the noahide laws deary deary. All written and scripted by those folk who write what goes into the bible and what does not etc, history books same interference, holywood scripts all spinning one agenda, all portraying the same folk as victims – they decide what will go into your curriculums and what will not go into them – they tell you that you live on a spinning globe that spins at 600,660000 miles per minute – so why are we not living on planet 24/7 tsunami?

They get you at a young age with the santa clause grift, then when you see through that they hit you with the Jesus and God are always watching you grift, then you become a pain in the ass coz your natural Timmy uppityness sees you starting to ask unasked questions then they introduce cliques and cancel culture to silence and isolate you as a troll misfit who refuses to conform to a fcked up world that they created, leaving you subject to finger pointing by those who stand for nothing and fall for everything.

The deception is always right in front of your face, like Mick Lynch for example. ML watched the Corbyn project being crushed by the zio lobbyists, mainly back stabbed by Starmer, then ML tells everybody that he is driven by the principles and integrity of James Connolly, if only that was true eh?

How can you be driven by James Connolly – out of one side of your mouth – and then tell everybody to grow the fk up and get over the political murder of Jeremy Corbyn – and vote for the zio lobby controlled Keir Starmer led Labour party with its pro genocide of the Palestinians policy – out of the other side of his planted lying mouth?

Did “A Celtic State Of Mind” not ask ML about his incompatible belief systems? If not – why not?

How can Celtic supporters stand stoutly against the Palestinian genocide – yet one of the ‘soldiers’ carrying out the 80 year long genocide can just happen to be signed by Celtic and play in the 1st team for over a decade? Does genocide only become an issue with some fans when they eventually get to see it on the news? Is this the ‘real’ reason why Neil Lennon resigned as manager in 2015 when this player was signed but the story was spun as NL leaving because we sold Wanyama?

Did NL leave because he realised that “Timdom” and its addons are just a pretentious waste of thousands of folks time and energy as well as their money?

Going to chapel to pray for the king of isreal – who wrote that book?

Maybe its all been a big lie and a big trap leading you all into your ‘religious sheep pens’ always led to their slaughter by their shepherds.

What part am I not getting correct here? You know what – never mind.
