We could have a minutes silence before every game we play as there is inevitably something terrible which has happened somewhere in the world that day or week passed.
Certainly have a minutes silence if an ex player or associate of the club has died but otherwise do not have one.
One of my grandfathers died of a wound contracted in the 1st world war! My father was called up for the 2nd. I don’t really take part in Remembrance Sunday ceremonies but I do believe we should conduct ourselves by observing the minutes silence.

Britain’s history when it comes to wars is dark and dirty. Having a day for the fallen whilst seperating the poliics behind it is a way for governments to whtewash their awful behaviours. We should not be bullied into following like sheep. If you truely want to hold a minute silence do it at an appropriate place (rememberance ceremony) not a fucking football match, sporting event etc… if you insist on having a silence at football matches etc… expect some will not agree and will express their view and disapproval.

Credit to Brendan – he spun as best he could – however the only good thing about the day was the final result . A game and a day best forgotten – thankfully the international hiatus will allow that to happen to some degree.

With respect those booing at the celtic game did not request that they be subjected to a minutes silence. They are going about their private lives. I expect most of them would happily avoid all the stuff if possible but if pushed in their faces they should not be bullied into accepting it simply because it saves face.
If I am going about my private life and someone engages me in a conversation tomorrow and asked my views about the booing I would maintain that expressing your view is a right and I don’t particularly like we’re the poppy has ended up.
I think it is crass when i see football clubs and other institutions being almost celebrative when allegedly commemorating the fallen.
