Don’t think they have the money, but the team for whom he’d be perfect down there would be Tottenham. Already solid at the back and in midfield, young Argentinian manager, Kane up top to take on a lot of the work-load, leaving the wee genius to do his stuff in a free role.

Could he do it on a wet night in Stoke, though???

Definitely an existentialist aspect to Pedro, probably comes from reading Sartre while standing on his head:)

    Woof! Woof!:)

Quite a few sandwiches short of a picnic i fear.

Cant see Leo going to Spurs.

Wet night in Stoke?, too easy for Leo, canter:)

“The 46-year-old returned to head-coaching duties in 2010 with UD Leiria and guided the central Portuguese side to 10th place in the Primeira Liga. But, just a handful of games into the following season, Caixinha quit as the club suffered from financial problems.”

    Couldnae happen here!

  5. We’re 5-0 up from the first leg against Astana. Brendan wants to win every game of course. But eventually the “slump” of going undefeated has to come to an end. Losing 1-0 in Astana seems to be a convenient point to do it, no? Low impact, little disappointment from the fans…

    Tin hat oan…!

    :-))))

  6. TGM,

Karma has it that when Glibby and Jabba are that interested in being the wide men with Sevco, Club1872, The Magic Hat, MASH, Hector…etc

A 5’10” goalkeeper with a debatable record in a lower league than the Highland League convinces them he’s the next José Mourinho. ( the quotes and arrogance are a premeditated attempt to sound like José, IMO).

    Hook, line and sinker.

Or…as someone on another forum suggested, throw on an ineligible player and take the 0-3 defeat ;)

    It doesn’t make sense.

I assume G&SL would have had some say in his appointment.

It must be that ‘magic money tree’ we hear so much about. No retail income, no banking facilities, but that doesnt seem to bother sevco:)

Other People’s Money? Monopoly Money?, who knows.

Its a mystery of epic proportions:)

  12. Just had a look at the League Table. The highest Sevco can be at tea-time on Saturday is 7th.

No harm to Pedro but if you had to interview him even over Skype you could see that he is a few cans short of a carry out, at Least our Ronnie came across as intelligent and positive, Pedro just comes across as a hispanic Inspector Clouseau .

  16. Ernie,

They have a real problem here.

    According to Transfermarket Pedro’s record at Sevco is ;

    17 9(w) 3(D) 5(L)

    I make that 52% against BR’s 100%.

Pedro had some success in Mexico with a win rate of 44%.

Maybe Glibby etc looked at the UEFA Pro Licence and the apparent Masters Degree in Sports Science.

Pedro’s bio makes him look like the next José.

I always felt that Al-Gharafa didn’t seem to make too much of an effort to keep him.

    His record there was,

    33 16(W) 6(D) 11(L)

As TGM believes maybe they have been sold a ‘pup’. A José on the cheap who will sell SB’s? He also didn’t want Bomber or Barry when when he went there.

Pedro had no playing career and at best a managerial career which looked highly questionable.

Looking at Glibby and Co. The shambles of Club 1872, PUMA, MASH, no NOMAD, Soft Loans…maybe this is just more of the same nonsense?

  17. A small thing ,but very irritating.Once again on Saturday,Jeff Stelling, who I really like, reporting on the Ipswich game, informed us that Waghorn had again scored. He,same as the week before, then informed us that Ipswich paid 1 million to the Monkeys for him.Now if it were just Level 5 guff,I could excuse him,but the Ipswich manager himself has stated that it “Was nowhere near that”.

Do SSN only report on what they are told by fat Traynor?.I know it should not,but it gets right on my wick.

  18. Scotland squad picked, Snodgrass in who hasn’t kicked a ball and McGregor ommitted. Sums them up, doomed to fail.
