Best wishes to Ki Sung-Yeng who joined Swansea City today. The Korean international joined Celtic in January 2010 but the subsequent arrival of central midfielder Beram Kayal, Joe Ledley and Victor Wanyama, curtailed his first-team opportunites.
Ki possesses excellent technique and can cover 50 yards as quickly as anyone at Celtic but he often failed to impose himself on games. Selling a reserve player with 15 months left on his contract for a fee of around £6m is truly remarkable. I am one of the players many admirers but I don’t know anyone who would pay anything like that money for him.

My main observation on seeing Ki go is that I hope that Scottish football evolves so that technically gifted players are not so easily defeated by the hammer throwers. We do not have to make the game non-tackling but we do need to improve the mindset of Scottish refs who do not crack down on illegal tackling because it is too early in the game.
Hope Ki does well with Swansea.
Cannot escape the notion that the touted Japanese boy on loan from Germany is more at the punt level of Mizuno than the proven pedigree of Naka.

just to let you know that I am planning to take part in a 50 mile cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh, 09/09/2012
During the next 2/3 weeks I plan to train very hard in order to be able to take part in this cycle where I would hope to be able raise some funds for “Wee Oscar Knox” who is 3 year old kid and is not keeping very well just now.
