KT: EVERTON MAKE THEIR MOVE

0

EVERTON will today step up their £25million pursuit of Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.

The Goodison outfit restart training this morning under new boss Marco Silva and they intend to discover how much it would take to lure the player from his beloved Hoops.

Manchester United have been linked with the 21-year-old Scotland international defender and Spurs, too, are now reported to be watching the situation.

White Hart Lane gaffer Mauricio Pochettino sees Tierney as the kind of asset who could turn his side into genuine title contenders. Although he would need to sell England World Cup full-back Danny Rose before making his move.

Brendan Rodgers said has already admitted he would not attempt to talk Tierney out of a move to England, given his “moral” obligation to the club and the player.

A die-hard Celtic fan who recently signed a six-year deal with his boyhood heroes, the fans’ favourite has often spoken publicly of his desire to become one of Celtic’s great one-club men.
