RONNY DEILA has already stated he believes 18-year-old left-back Kieran Tierney is a £5million player who will continue to improve with experience.
The defender once again underlined his potential with his display in the 1-1 Europa League draw against Fenerbahce in Istanbul on Thursday.
Deila has selected Tierney ahead of Honduran international left-back Emilio Izaguirre for the last two European ties against Ajax and the Turks to underline his faith in the teenager.
The Hoops gaffer admitted: “I wouldn’t change him for anybody. His attitude is always first-class and he will only get better.
“He’s already shown he can play at a high level in Europe and he’s only 18.
“We are very pleased to have him. Fenerbahce’s Lazar Markovic is a very good player, so it says something special about KT and the way he handled him in Istanbul.
“He has made unbelievable improvement in the last year.
“But he shows it every day in training. Everyone is always laughing at his commitment in the tackles. He puts everything into it. He is always concentrating and learning.
“Your goal is to bring players through the academy, but it’s unrealistic to think we will get 11 from Glasgow.
“But if our other young players follow the attitude of KT then they will have an excellent chance.
“KT is not the best talent-wise – he has talent – but he definitely has the best attitude. He is 10 out of 10.”
