KUYT IN GUIDETTI PLEA

DIRK KUYT has admitted he wants on-loan Celtic striker John Guidetti to join him at Feyenoord.
The ex-Liverpool frontman has just agreed a one-year deal with his former club after spending the last three years in Turkey with Fenerbahce.
And the 34-year-old wants to team up with Guidetti when his contract at the Hoops expires at the end of the season – at the same time his deal with Manchester City runs down.
Kuyt said: “He has demonstrated he is a real Feyenoord player.
“Like me, he was very quick to click with the fans.
“To be honest, I lost sight of him a bit after Feyenoord because he did not play much for Manchester City and the Scottish League, with Celtic, was difficult to follow in Turkey.
“But if he can deliver the fitness and quality he had at the time, he will be a tremendous asset.”
Guidetti has already opened the door to a return to the club where he scored 20 goals in 23 games three years ago on a season-long transfer from City.
He told a Dutch TV station: “I want to go back to Feyenoord and perhaps as soon as possible.”
The club’s technical director Martin van Geel has already watched the Swede in action this season and has admitted he is an “attractive proposition” as he will be available on a free transfer.
Guidetti, 22, became a Hoops fans’ favourite when he fired in 11 goals in 16 games – including a hat-trick in the 6-0 League Cup triumph over Partick Thistle in October – before the turn of the year.
However, he has failed to score consistently in the second part of the campaign although Ronny Deila has stated publicly he would like to keep him at Parkhead.
The Hoops boss will be on the look-out for a new hitman in the summer after selling Tony Watt to Standard Liege and loaning out £4.5million misfits Teemu Pukki and Amido Balde.
However, Guidetti is adamant he will not make a decision on his future until the summer.
