KYOGO FURUHASHI’S spectacular volley at Ibrox has won the Premiership Goal of the Month for September.
The Japanese hitman was favourite for the accolade following his winner in Govan when he lashed a first-time drive away from the groping fingers of Jack Butland for the points-clincher just before the interval.
It was Kyogo’s sixth goal against the Glasgow rivals and also his third league strike in four games this time out to add to the counters in the opening-day 4-2 victory over Ross County and the 3-1 triumph over Aberdeen at Pittodrie the following week.
HEAVENS ABOVE…Kyogo Furuhashi looks skywards after netting his wonder goal at Ibrox. Liam Scales looks on.
The 28-year-old international claimed a fourth in the 3-0 win over Dundee and celebrated his first-ever strike in the Champions League with his excellent finish against Lazio in the east end of Glasgow in midweek.
Unfortunately, the Serie A side snatched a stoppage-time success with a header from Pedro right at the death.
Kyogo and his Hoops team-mates will be aiming to get back on the winning track when they face Kilmarnock at Parkhead tomorrow afternoon.
