CROCKED Kyogo Furuhashi faces a crucial test on his injured shoulder today.

The Japanese striker, who has fired in 22 goals already this season, will undergo a thorough medical examination which will determine how long he may be sidelined.

Kyogo was taken off in the 14th minute of Celtic’s 5-1 Scottish Cup fifth-round win over St Mirren at Parkhead on Saturday evening to set up a quarter-final clash against Hearts at Tynecastle next month.

SIT-DOWN STRIKER…Kyogo Furuhashi celebrates on the deck after netting the opener in the 3-0 win over Livingston at the start of the month.

The 28-year-old frontman went down awkwardly after a dual challenge from Paisley defenders and Ange Postecoglou wasted no time in taking off the club’s talisman and putting on Liel Abada.

Kyogo missed training at Lennoxtown yesterday, as reported in the Scottish Sun, and he could sit out the visit of Aberdeen on Saturday as a precaution.

The holders are due to take on Michael Beale’s Ibrox side in the Viaplay League Cup Final at Hampden a week on Sunday and Postecoglou will want to ensure his first-choice attack leader is 100 per cent fit for the occasion.

Kyogo is said to be feeling positive, but he will know more after he undergoes a full scan.
