FORMER Celtic star Kyogo Furuhashi has signed for MLS club LA Galaxy.
There had been suggestions the one-time Hoops goal hero could be on his way back for a second spell at Parkhead.
However, just as in January when he was linked with a loan move to the struggling champions, there will be no comeback for the 31-year-old frontman who netted 85 goals in 165 appearances first time around.
The switch to the USA is Kyogo’s THIRD transfer in just 18 months after leaving Glasgow in January 2025 in a £10million switch to Rennes.

The move to France turned out to be disastrous for for the lively frontman who didn’t score a solitary goal in just six appearances.
He joined Birmingham City last summer, but that transfer didn’t work out, wither, with the once-prolific raider collecting just one goal in 28 Championship games for the Midlands outfit who finished a disappointing tenth in the table.
Kyogo will now relaunch his career in Los Angeles – also known as La La Land and Tinseltown – with a deal that is due to run until 2031.
Galaxy General Manager Will Kuntz, speaking in a report in the Scottish Sun, said: “We’re excited to welcome Kyogo to the LA Galaxy and to Los Angeles.
“He brings a wealth of experience having played matches with Japanese national team, in the Champions League and in some of the best domestic leagues in Europe.
“We’re thrilled to add a player of his calibre, goalscoring ability and diverse experience to our group and look forward to the impact he will make on and off the field.”
Kyogo, who was one of Ange Postecoglou’s first signings at £4.75million from J-League side Vissel Kobe in July 2021, won four league titles, two Scottish Cups and three League Cups at Celtic, including a treble in 2022/23.
