I’ve read you banging the drum for ticket exchange at Celtic over a good period of time, using other clubs’ public narrative as a stick aimed at our Board. You present a scenario of a season-wide facility availability to supporters on a whim.
This is not a post digging you up, I’ve an unanswered query about the general initiative which you may have the answer to, I hope.
Does any club in Scotland or England activate ticket exchange to their season ticket holders before the game concerned is officially sold out?

It appears some do.
Evidence – Hearts appear to offer a “make yur seat for resell function as terms of selling a season ticket” so you know early you cannot go, you put it up for resell.
however West Ham – definately says “sold out has to be reached before a client (that word) can resell a ticket,
i will search it out more.
for CFC plc, we had fixtures “sold out” 3 weeks before being played.

I watched ‘The rest is politics’ last night on the TV. It is apparently one of those podcast thingys and was just being played on the TV for luddites like me
Alistair Campbell and Rory Stewart (ex Tory minister). Very enjoyable as it is not an argument, just two incredibly well read, intelligent and well informed guys discussing the upcoming election in UK.
Here in Ireland we just have local and Euro elections coming up. The variety of wee single issue parties and independents is incredible. Pretty sure the central funding is better here to enable this rainbow of views.
some of it is quite extreme about von der layen and genocide and then we have the farmer guys against ‘mass immigration’.

Oldco had a system, if you notified them on the Tuesday for a Saturday game for example, they would re- sell it and you got a £5-10 credit towards your next season ticket….makes sense tae me…

I recognize the Hearts wording from looking through their pages to find out a bit more detail about this idea.
It appeared to me the club required you to tell them – yes, I want to join this scheme. Nothing there led me to think the season ticket holder controlled the process.
To my reading, subsequent action depended on the club announcing – ticket exchange is active for this game.
Anyway, Champions again ole! ole!

James Forrest,who I some of the time like,dissapearing up his own backside today in his blog.For weeks he has been threatening the Board,that they must spend big this Summer,on quality,or face the music.
Today he thinks that spending 12 million on Idah and Bernardo,is a gamble,and too much of our budget,actually saying we could maybe get 3 or 4 players for that money.There goes the quality bit.No idea what some people think quality costs..For me 12 million for both players is a bargain,with a profit at the end..When Calmac says we must sign Bernardo,think I trust him.At least 30 million needed spent,if MOR goes,more.
Disappointed for Matt O’Riley not making the Euro squad for Denmark. They must have a hell of a squad if they can leave him behind. Bit of misplaced chauvinism going on here. Denmark are higher ranked than Scotland but their League isn’t. Matt has also gained CL experience over the last two seasons and if the reports were correct generated interest from Athletico Madrid a top four club in Spain. He is also capable of making and scoring goals from midfield. And, I think he is more than capable of making an impact against the likes of England who are in the same group as the Danes.

Must admit I was a wee bit annoyed when Chris Sutton put a £8-9 mill price tag on Adam Idah on Radio 5 on Monday. Now, I know he is close to Norwich as a club. Even so Adam was not getting game time with the Canaries, who finished sixth, 17 points behind Leeds who thrashed them in the play-offs. They then sacked their manager. He’s their player sure, but they are likely to remain in the Championship next season even with a new manager at the helm. No no no, £5-6 mill cash money and allow Idah to develop at club and international level, at Celtic.

Couple of points.
I know most games I can source a ticket. Friends and family and casual Celtic aquantinces have all offered before. A lot of supporters have their regular go to back ups. People they trust per se.
What has perplexed me is a few thousand who never go. Have a card but just do not attend. Can afford to not be bothered. Will attend occasionally for some sentimental reasons akin to keeping golf club membership while playing twice a year.
As an aside.
The sfa are nearly ready to go fully digital for Scotland tickets at next qualifying campaign.
No more paper tickets and a functionality to transfer the “user” to a other phone.
