The script was written for Jota to come off the bench on his return after 18 months and score in a Celtic win. His last kick of the ball for Celtic before departing was to put us 3-1 ahead of Inverness Caley Thistle in the Scottish Cup Final.
Adam Idah seems to have flicked a switch, returning to form from last term, while Daizen Maeda sparkled throughout, including when he played through the middle.
None of that moves the dial, however. If Celtic do not sign a striker today they are undeniably taking a risk with the second half of the season. There remains a Kyogo shaped hole in the squad. Over to you, Brendan, Michael.

BSR I read it on here. So this must be T’internet then?
Anthony Joseph saying Schlupp is keen to join Celtic and Clubs are negotiating how much of his wages Celtic will have to cover. He is out of contract in the Summer.

Ten Men
It’s Brendan’s guy who is heading recruitment along with the CEO who seems to be as weak as dishwater so not sure anyone to blame other than himself for not getting his options lined up.
Dont get your seething anger, its hunlike.
Do name who you are talking about?

Oh for the days when MON had the football giants trembling in their boots at the thought of coming to fortress Parkhead.
Remember Bayern Munich celebrating as though they had won the CL trophy itself after a CL group game at Parkhead, and they luckily scraped a very flattering result for them. The score was 0-0.
And now if we get beaten 0-8 at home to BM it’ll be immediately spun as…..
[ “Well….everybody knows that a SPL team couldn’t compete with giants like Bayern Munich,…etc, etc,…yadda, yadda,…huff, puff, blaw,….etc, etc.” ]
If only MON had been given the money that Lawwell’s puppet managers have been given, like Rodgers have blown on projects….and that includes in the One horse league since 2012…were new club “Sevco” have been to a European Cup Final…even after replacing dead Rangers FC…whilst 60,000 Celtic season ticket holders will tell you that a European Cup Final is nothing….compared to a jiggery poakeried Celtic PLC Balance sheet!?
A balance sheet which is so legit…that only PLC hand picked puppets or suckullent sheeple are allowed to ask questions about the balance sheet at AGM’s.
Just look at how quickly the present puppet manager, Rodgers, dived in to rescue his real owner, Peter Lawwell, when yon upstart renegade, Joe McHugh, asked an “unscripted” question about stuff…during the recent AGM Eye!!!!
If you are not shifty and dubiously rich like Rodgers and his PLC owners….then you are a “Malcontent, Troll, not a real Tim…etc, etc.” you’ll be told by the suckullent, sickophants, who fall for every narrative from the mainstream media sewer rats https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GizqswmW4AA6vsr?format=jpg&name=small
,…just likey then piled onto the evil Hun, Joe McHugh, after the latest AGM.
Aberdeen bring ‘systemic failure’ to a new low with 4 points from 42
Ok Bada,
Once again I just laughed out loud in my class. That’s Hunskelping supreme right there!!!

I could not remember it. Such is his presence felt in the role.
It is a criticism as our most high profile and best remunerated non football employee he should be recognised.
Anyway hopefully the vintage Crystal Palace loanee who has not started a game all season will work out well. At least he is potential GT cover.
Unless of course he is a negotiating tactic for KT. Which could be good.
B78
And we wouldn’t be continuing our domination under Brendan if we weren’t being managed properly.
Ust for your info I’m 74 and supported the bhoys for over 60 years
Very good player Schlupp.Very strong..I remember him scoring some cracking goals for Palace.Always thought he was a midfielder.Good loan.

Replacing a really solid left back by an injury prone older version in new season plus losing a stellar centre forward who didn’t fit with his playing style and bringing in Jota who hopefully in months to come might get match sharp.
You could get a job as turd painter of the year on
FollowFollow B78.
Kyogo wanted to go,made it clear he wanted to go and went.
Re playing style, your grasping at straws,he is a professional player who plays were our professional manager tells him to for the professional club that is Celtic
Now wheesht wi the sniping it is unbecoming of you.To draw conclusions on another Celts ambition by citing the 20years successfully gone is wrong B78,especially as you appear to be doing your utmost to undermine any positivity going,
HH
Shocking behaviour Burnley.Really surprised and disappointed that a good Tim would act in the manner of a jilted schoolgirl.
Get a grip man.
Oh,and Schlupp has played 15 times this season.

Not an impressive stat.
What on earth are we doing with youth development when that is our preferred option.
We really need to question the viability of youth development. Are we just going tjrough the motions and ticking boxes. ?
HH.
If the entourage has departed for” That London”,could it be to bring back KT.
“That London” courtesy of Harry Enfield.
Hope Brendan gets Schlupp a massive loan upgrade on Alex Valle who was so good he couldn’t compete with “wee” Greg Taylor
What’s our non exec chairman doing involved in transfer day dealings ?
Greenpinata
Doak should have got more games
Good evening all a good 3 points yesterday.
With a return of the prodigal son.
D :)
I’d take Schlupp – physical , strong , quick and experienced. Knows how to defend and is comfortable mid to front. Good attitude and would be a good addition to a team I think are not physical enough. As for striker, Idah deserves chance as #1 but I’d still sign a player with different qualities. Mobile, skillful, creative striker. Don’t think that’s Danny Ings.
If those 3 are on a flight it’s not for any loan signing
Bada Bing………He nearly went berserk the night the winning goal went in against Brugge mainly through the huge part he played in that score to get us into the playoffs. Give thhe guy a break ffs.
Loved this one from FF
Scandal.”Rangers were charged £360,000 more for Policing costs,in season,23/24,than rivals Celtic. When confronted by this discrepancy,Strathclyde Police had no answer, other than Rangers had played 4 more games than their rivals”
EH !!!!!!!!!

He’s only a figurehead, maybe keeping his air miles loaded,do keep up….😀
Stebhoy,
What,like Maeda you mean?.🤔🤔🤔
Not sure if PL was mentioned in the Airport. The woman said it was Brendan,a weedy looking guy,h,mmmm,no idea, and Brendan’s Valet.
On a positive side PL has a lot of experience in negotiating. He may have good contacts with the other club. As long as he’s not involved in picking the transfer target.
My routinely “in the know” friend has had Internet provider issues all day … so have only been able to pick up garbled WhatsApp messages from him.
What’s this about us signing Lily von Shtupp on loan?
Turkeybhoy @ 6:09pm.
“Look at him !” levels of Lol on the train home.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Danny Ings now being reported as a loan option. Someone at our club is failing miserably in their jobs. We knew for months that Kyogo was going and we’re reportedly chasing Danny Ings as a loan on deadline day.
Roll on the summer when we’ll be told we must await the outcome of the CL play off before signing anyone.
Re Ings….
If the pickings are slim in this window, maybe it makes sense to get a loan stop-gap to bide us through to the next window…
Weeron
Got any talismanic strikers spare with 5 hours to go for £10M tops?
NoSorry CSC
I’ve never taken the Jan transfer window seriously, full of fake news and futile comment, and little or nothing decent available in the month.
Idah is playing well and Daizan can play through the middle as he does at International level. There is a good spread of goals through the team as it should be. Daizan is the most improved player at Celtic particularly his skill level and Adam with eleven goals and Daizan with sixteen ain’t bad atall.
Suppose we did ok in the window getting in Jota and Kieran Tierney and the Portaguese lad making an instant impact in yesterday’s match.
Good to see a contest yesterday and not developing into a rout after that instant Celtic score. Enjoyable game.
VALLE NOW A SUPERSTAR BECAUSE HE IS AWAY BACK, BUT HE COULDNT GET GREGS PLACE IN THE TEAM.
we have played 37 games this season so far during 6 months. we lost 3, 1 domestic, 2 in europe.
if we go to the scottish cup final, and assuming we get put out by munich, we will have a further 20 fixtures in 4 calendar months.
The cl play off is in the 3rd and 4th week of august.
if we cant by a kyogo shaped as good as him player, then why bother, why the pressing need to spend more money ?
are we really scared ths current squad will lose the league or fail to qualify, dearie me
Schlupp Could be very useful squad player for a couple of seasons
I for one will be sitting here with baited breath waiting for Riquelme to stand on the steps of Paradise and be joined by Rivaldo kissing the badge and saying this a dream come true as I have supported the CELTICS since I was a fetus in the womb of my mammy at the Copa Cabana Celtic supporters club.
If Schlupp is our whack then he will get my support and welcome to Celtic Park. Looking at his career, he seems to have done quite well for himself. I think most people look at his age and become a wee bit upset and question our ambition, and that’s fine as we all have our opinions and what a pishy website this would be if we didn’t disagree with each other now and again, in small measures that is. We sign a veteran and Thems sign a starlet. Schlupp will be on the train from London, Thems fly up and down on a private Jet. That is how our media portray us in any window. Can’t wait till Wednesday when we cut Rangers deficit to 13 ( I know what I mean).
Keep up the posts you guys as I love to read the opinions of likeminded Tims.
Sean
Who would win in a fight between Brendan’s backfillers and the boardroom’s talismen ?
