LARSSON HEADS FOR RUSSIA

CELTIC legend Henrik Larsson is heading for the World Cup Finals in Russia in the summer – as a big-match analyst for ITV.

The Hoops hero will provide insight for the broadcaster alongside his ex-Parkhead boss Martin O’Neill and Manchester United great Roy Keane.

Larsson enjoyed a wonderful international career with Sweden and starred in three tournaments, scoring in all of them.

The 46-year-old ace is also set to play in Scott Brown’s Testimonial in the east end of Glasgow on Sunday. O’Neill will be in charge of the Republic of Ireland line-up that will face the Celts.

Larsson became a firm favourite with the Celtic fans as he scored 242 goals during his memorable seven-year stay at the club after arriving for a bargain £650,000 from Feyenoord in 1997.

His former team-mate Chris Sutton will be at the soccer extravaganza, too, working for BBC Radio.
