My friends in Celtic, we are the laughing stock of the football world. This status has been achieved by becoming the soft touches of Scottish football. Dundee United can only win one game in 11? Not to worry, we’ve Celtic next. St Mirren only won two games in 10? Chill, it’s Celtic at Hampden. United are so poor, that win of theirs came against an even-poorer St Mirren.
Three weeks ago we were hot favourites for the league, with a nine-point advantage over Newco. We still have an advantage, but a third place finish is now as likely as any other outcome. Maybe you always fancied a crack at the Conference League?
Last night’s game at Tannadice encapsulated so much of the story. Celtic were scintillating for much of the first half and could have had the game won. It is not Wilfried Nancy’s fault that the squad is short of an experienced striker who would have made that a reality.
However, Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin, figured out what Celtic were doing at halftime and turned the tables. Celtic were completely nullified from the start of second period. The equaliser on 58 minutes was more than merited, as Celtic were unable to clear their lines until then. Both United goals came from pressure after a corner kick. That’s five goals in four games from corners Celtic have conceded. Maybe playing with only one central defender for the first time this century is a bit too radical?
Goodwin in not alone. Derek McInnes figured out the same thing for Hearts earlier this month. His side were battered for the opening 30 minutes, changed to suit the Celtic formation and had their easiest game at Celtic Park for a long time. St Mirren’s Stephen Robinson had seen enough to know what to do before he arrived at Hampden on Sunday. Celtic’s formation made it easy for all three.
This period has encouraged our opponents. Newco and Hearts were broken at the beginning of this month. Today they are invigorated and they will approach each game, as well as the January transfer window, with renewed appetite. Celtic are there for the taking and everyone knows it. I am getting “What is going on?” messages from across the world; we are world news. This scale of capitulation is that exceptional.

Sneering Brit wins SPOTY.
Well i never old boy. . . . .. .
3-0 Sparta. Game over on 65 minutes.
B78 – not sure what I want from their game on Sunday. I always want to see them beaten, but I’m thinking if they beat Hertz and we beat Aberdeen it brings us closer to the top and one game closer to January.
What did I miss ? Did someone on here say that they wanted Celtic to lose ?
The voices in their heads are saying it.
Oh well, there’s your answer. Golf not allowed for real Celtic supporters.
I’d love to see the list of what makes a real Celtic mhan.
Those voices again. . . ..
Hard to believe any Celtic supporter would want us to lose on Sunday. Agree
Hard to believe any Celtic supporter would shout gtf to a manager 2 weeks in the job. Agree
Hard to believe any Celtic supporter would support a board that has driven us to despair.Agreed?
brilliant

aberdeen just fiinshed 35/36 in the conf league
Some of the teams to finish above Aberdeen: Shelbourne, Hamrun Spartans, Lincoln Red Imps, Universitatea Craiova.
surely, on sunday, they couldnt :(
and before anyone mentions BR, I thought he was in charge/to blame for some of the most humiliating euro defeats in my puff
Not read back, what is the ‘approach’ referred to in B78 post from earlier about Dean Park CSC…..
Agree Turkey said it to my group of mates Gogic is brilliant at his job and what a managers dream he must be.
We should could have snapped him and the young big physical striker Bowie for the price of one of our summer duds.
Story doing the rounds. There was an emergency meeting today. Wilf has asked for 2 more games to turn it around.
Kelvinbhoy
Don’t read his nonsense but looked at it because of your ref, Dean park no idea, more interested in the knife accusation. Did a AI:
”
Media Idiom: News sources have used the phrase “the knives are out” to describe the volatile atmosphere and strong criticism from sections of the Celtic fanbase towards the club’s hierarchy amidst a poor run of results. ”
Enough said….
B78…it’s the Celtic fans who are the lifeblood and major financiers of our club. Who exactly are more legitimate in their criticism of Celtic?
It’s obvious to a blind man that the current board have lost their custodial mandate….my question is….will they hide behind the appointment of Wilfried or accept the responsibility of their actions.
Oh, in response the the self serving sheet of bull statement issued yesterday in honour of Lawwell, cticism is not “threats and abuse”
H.H
A sudden influx of the Boardellos I see,,trying to take centre stage with tales of real fans, not. ass kissers, wanting the team we adore,to get beat on Sunday.Fans running around with knives !!!!.Poor Board members frightened for their lives by fans running around with balloons on sticks.Don’t be taken in by them. They and the Board they worship are the cause of every ailment we are facing. One Clown even chortling about,”Honestly,if I hear another word about £80 million in the bank”.TWATS.

UNDER-FIRE Wilfried Nancy will be given TWO **transfer windows** scrub that, TWO GAMES to put things right at Celtic.
That’s the promise from chief-executive Michael Nicholson to the beleagured new Hoops manager who has seen the champions lose four consecutive games since his surprise appointment as long-term successor to Brendan Rodgers who resigned in late October.
————————————————-
Keep digging Mickey Boy!
Murgatroid….if Wilfried continues in his ( philosophy/idealism ) aka pigheadedness….2 games will be 1 game too many
H.H.
He’s already been here for 4 games too many.
Murgatroid has a certain je ne sais quoi.
Touché.
Celtic supporters voted in huge numbers for the Snp/Greens/Labour/post/Blair and that refutes ANY claim to be a Celtic supporter.
Voting for people who lie, double down on those lies, cover up grooming gangs, promoting phobias/isms that lead to children being abused, is not where ANY Celtic supporter would be seen.
But they are seen all over social media.
We saw them in the raw, on CQN and Sentinel Celts in 2020/21/22/23, demanding that fellow posters get on their knees and kiss the Government and Medias ass, or be smeared as an “anti/vaxxer!”
Anti Vaxxers should be wearing Super Hero capes.
But they are far too humble for that.
And then theses all seated era “Tims” lie about people who were dying from vaxxeens, calling it “Tin/Foil/Hat/Loonys” who say such things.
And then they would double down on their horribleness by demanding that anyone who disagrees with THEM must be banned, no matter how much NON MEDIA CONTAMINATED evidence was presented, these ESTABLISHMENT suckers are NEVER Celtic supporters.
Clique/peddlers/Yes – Tims/Never!
Not in a million years!
Virtue Signaling is not Tim material.
[[“Oh look at me, I’m a good person, I believe the Media and Governments.”]]
Fkn lol!
Throwing season ticket money at OLD FIRM corruption Kings, Desmond and Lawwell does not make you a Celtic supporter, it makes you a vampire who hides behind the goodness of Celticness, which hasn’t been seen since Seville 2003.
Celticness is OVER!
Celtic remnants are not too far behind…..

Tragi-comical to observe the Board plants continue to misdirect blame towards fans with nil organisational agency and to blacken the names of said fans. Also horror stories about Desmond selling out to someone even worse than him. Same fear mongering divide and conquer shite scared elites have employed since time immemorial.
Personalise to me all you want, supposedly giddy at the prospect of this terrible hun team being gifted the league by our abysmal custodians… but you are just deluding yourselves if you don’t realise that the mass of fans have had it with these scoundrels. Keep shouting into the void if you want but you’re persuading no-one. The tide is against you.
PS on the basis of today’s blog I am more supportive of Wilf than our host. I’m still willing to stick with the guy to see if he can yet get a tune out of Spivdale’s dross.
ChatGPT’s advice to Mikey and the Boardroom boys is to treat discontent as information not a threat. Further:
Avoid fear-based responses
Actions that feel stabilizing often make things worse:
• Repression, censorship, scapegoating, or manipulation
• Treating dissent as disloyalty
• Over-reliance on force or surveillance
These signal weakness, not strength, and escalate opposition.
Sounds to me like ChatGPT would make a cheaper and more effective CEO than Mikey, as well as offering more personality.
The disgusting chants against Nancy were shameful. Those responsible are no better than der hun. Sickening.

Graham Spiers made a point worth repeating:
In the hullabaloo surrounding the club in the past 24 hours, what hasn’t been acknowledged is Peter Lawwell’s role in transforming the reach, work and impact of the Celtic Foundation.
More has been done by the Celtic Foundation since it was established 12 years ago than had ever been done in the many years before by the then Celtic FC Charity Fund.
Tony Hamilton and his team have done and continue to do a remarkable job.
Just a footnote, perhaps, but worthwhile bearing it in mind.
===
I forget the name of the Celtic Charity Fergus McCann formed but that miserable bassa DD with all his power did not prevent it morphing into The Foundation,
nor prevent its stupendous growth.
The Foundation with support from Celtic are true to the purpose for which Celtic were created and it wasnt to play football.
That became the means to carry out the original purpose.
Obviously the better the football the greater the support and if the players and those running the club did it for nuthin the more charity would benefit.
The latter is nonsense but I thought that with so much being aired I might as well join in.
Here is how I really see it
What has worked in the past terms of Celtic’s policy of sustainability that required the regular sale of good players to pay for the batch of replacements until one/some had a sell on value to pay for the next batch of replacements, to sell when their value was higher etc, which produced domestic success and resulted in our best CL showing v Bayern.
went off the rails under BR.
Don’t told tell me he had no say in those signings that produced no sell on value and is blameless in respect of them.
He must have known and signed up to the sustainability policy that gave him a say in who Celtic signed when he returned. Perhaps after trying it he found it too difficult to achieve?
Be that as it may the consequences of that have made clear that what worked before i.e get a manager in place of some experience, preferably with a Celtic connection with an eye for a player, no longer works.
To modernise Celtic, to remove that thinking, requires a full transformation and that is not going to happen without breakage with the past.
Neither is that scale of transformation going to happen all at once.
PL’s departure is part of a transformation and WN’s appointment is a sign, whether he is the right man for the job or not, that DD recognises a transformation in the way Celtic are run is required, even if only because he recognises that he will not be around forever.
If a player makes a mistake the last thing he needs is discouragement (although FFS is a natural immediate reaction) give him encouragement to try again, that applies to WN too.
If Aberdeen go in front or draw next game do that was done the last time they went in front at CP and we fought back.
Take a look at this video, ‘Celtic 4 Aberdeen 3 match’ https://share.google/4L2y3nvE9B1tGwJQ6
Don’t leave encouragement to the Collective under their personal attack approach. Just back the feckin team and forget about all else for the full 90 minutes.
If results are all that matter then do something to encourage the players to deliver.
That will get Celtic through the much needed transformation that everyone wants to see (as long as its not painful it would seem).
The next game is important but it is not just WN and players who who are under scrutiny, it is the support too, who he need to look up what fortitude is.
Auldheid….have you been hacked….fortitude is exactly understanding why what’s going wrong and changing it
*And that’s not our current cowardly board
Auldheid,
Loads of incompetence and mistakes, however singing GTF to a new Celtic manager after a handful of days is not the Celtic I was born and raised into.
I have seen many crushing defeats in my years following Celtic ( PSG stands out ) and I was gutted, but never ashamed.
I hope the GTF brigade stay away on Sunday. A half full Parkhead supporting the totally demoralised players would be far more preferable.
HH.
GreenPinata
A full Parkhead versus Roma was like the Mitchell Library. 2 Germans behind me just chatted and laughed thru the entire game and nobody really cared.
Greenpinata….you’re criticising the symptom but not the cause
Guys,
We all know that our board have slept at the wheel.
We are all hurting, all connected with our great club will be hurting , including the board.
We know the cause , but the public, the players, the media, the manager only see, hear and feel the tangible symptions.
We are more than a club, I still believe that.. We were born to support charity and we are still supporting charity. The recent foundation work is really heartwarming. Never forget our ethos.
I would never stop fans expressing their feelings. If they choose to to castigate the team and manager when at their lowest ebb, then so be it.
But I feel its not helpful, it’s not supportive and it’s not what is needed at this time.
It is hunlike and not what we are about. Faithful through and through. Hmmmmmm.
It’s easy to support when you are continually sucessful. The street parties are great.
We are not the only team in Scotland to lose four in a row this season.
Perhaps more comparable is Liverpool who are league holders and have lost four in a row this season.
I have not heard the coordinated GTF chants from the stands
If WN eventually leaves, then I would like to think the support actually supported and did not hinder.
It’s Christmas, we are green and proud, but even the Grinch saw the light , supported and repented.
Christmas can be saved.
HH.
