LAWWELL’S DELIGHT AS CELTS SCOOP PRIZES

CELTIC Chief Executive has spoke of his delight in the Celtic clean sweep of awards at last night’s PFA Scotland dinner in Glasgow.

Brendan Rodgers picked up the Manager of the Year Award, Moussa Dembele got the Goal of the Season Award for that wonderful team goal at St Johnstone in February, Kieran Tierney won Young Player of the Year and Scotty Sinclair, in his first season in Scottish football, was named at the PFA Scotland Player of the Year.

All awards were voted for by fellow professionals.

Speaking today on the club’s website Lawwell said: “I would like to congratulate Brendan, Scott, Kieran and Moussa on receiving their PFA Awards last night.

“These are so very well deserved and fitting recognition for the tremendous amount of hard work which they have all put into a tremendous season.

“We have enjoyed a fantastic season so far and Brendan and his team have represented the club brilliantly in everything they have done.”

He added: “We have played some wonderful football and the relentless pursuit of excellence from the team, week in, week out, has been something I know we all as Celtic supporters have been extremely proud of.

“I am sure all our supporters will join me in congratulating all our winners from last night’s awards.”
