I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong but the female presenter in question was not, as far as I know, a former player. In that regard she was no more qualified to pass judgment on the match than the Vicar’s budgie. Not that this stopped her passing ill informed nonsense on all things relating to Scottish Football. Some of us on here took umbrage, and I would do so again. If that offends the hair trigger sensibilities of the snowflakes then hard cheddar.

So in essence yiu seem to be suggesting that there is no problem with employing someone to comment upon a match who patently has no personal experience of football, either the Men’s OR Women’s game. The problems only arise when a member of the paying public questions the validity of that person’s views, and only then if that commentator is of the female variety?

I think the problem with women anchoring and commenting on the male game is that the majority of them I have heard just aren’t very good. In particular, those employed by BBC Scotland are dire.
The woman this evening was awful and was derogatory about Celtic at every opportunity. No reason why she should be in that job.
When I hear women commenting on the male golf, they are generally fine, apart from Laura Davies.
Give them the jobs on merit by all means, but a lot of box ticking appointments being made as far as I can hear.
