After the kind of nervy start we’ve seen to often in Europe , we have grown into the game . Our passing and possession needs to be better second half , but we can certainly take something from this game.
Going forward we look as good as them, however back 3 is creaking.id be tempted to go 4 3 3 but feel NL will stay as is as a draw is a great result
All Lazio’s previous euro games have finished 2-1. In each of those games the team which opened the scoring lost the game
BSR, they don’t seem to have learnt, they did it in GLASGOW also, and this team aren’t Inter.
You’d expect them to come out fast now, this is a game they need to win.
Good game management will be key. Win free kicks and slow match at every opportunity. Can not afford to let Lazio own the ball.
You can hear the disappointment in Rob McLean’s voice as they went to adverts at the half time break. We are doing well against difficult opponents. I also wish Sutton would tone it down. We have clawed our way back into the game. Hopefully, we can retain better possession in the second half.

we are not a defensive team and cant play tight defensivly due to the league we play in , we cant defend when we come up against an attacking team , so we have to attack and just score more than the team we are playing, get at them.

Interesting match this. I feel that Lazio look very heavy legged in defence and on the turn in midfield when we turnover possession. We always seem to have an extra man getting the second ball so I reckon Inzhagi will have noticed that so how he fixes that in second half will probably involve going ultra-attacking. We need to inject even more pace into the second half, do that and we can get a result here.

Problem with a 3-5-2 is that we need two wing backs who can defend. Hayes can, just, but Jamesy – just as well he’s lethal in their box. Would rather we played a 4-4-2 with a regular back 4. Tough 2nd half ahead …
Agree fully with Ron67, but what is the solution to this problem? Under Lennon and Rogers we now look very decent offensively in Europe, but do we need say 1 more Def Mid or perhaps train our forwards at pressing more and our wingers getting back to do more defensive pressing? Surely that has to be part of the solution?
A winning mentality, an attribute we possess in abundance which Lazio do not. Something the players are beginning to understand use to exploit teams that dont have it. Could be the difference.
