Neither you nor I are medical experts, but if Leigh Griffiths can bang in a couple of goals for the reserves last night, he can take his place on the bench against his old club, Livingston, on Saturday. The 11 games in five weeks before the winter break will go a long way to determining the success or otherwise of our season. Going into this period with only Odsonne Edouard available up front places too much of a burden on the French striker.
Tottenham, honestly! All the money in the world and they think Jose Mourinho is the next big thing in football management. Five years ago, Mauricio Pochettino was an inspiring choice, the hottest property in England after setting Southampton on a road to finding and developing young players, before selling them at an enormous profit (including Victor Wanyama).
Mourinho is not without talent and he is undoubtedly box office, but his natural instincts are as far removed from Tottenham’s as it is possible to imagine.
Yet again, we look at a football club and wonder, with all these resources, why can’t you just go out and find a manager with a verifiable record of improving teams? Is it really that difficult?
I’m over the Seville thing with Mourinho, no grudges left. If he’s ever in town he’s welcome to draw the Paradise Windfall, but Tottenham do not deserve this appointment to be successful. It is lazy and conservative – and there are enough like that around.

Afoabi is a strapping lad OK, I’d love to see him get into a match day squad. It would be too big an ask to start him but if a game was in the bag there would be an opportunity for him to stake a claim.
We have an array of young talent, Frimpong, Johnston, O’Connor, O’Connell. Dembele, Oko-Flex, Burt, Afolabi, Aitchison & Henderson to name a few, they all need a run of games but so do Griffiths. Arzani Taylor Bayo & Shved. It is an impossible situation.,

UEFA Issue cease and desist to seanzolio (via twitter) for using their name ‘UEFAEuropa League’ in a joke !!!

I would love to see Arzani get fit and get a run of games
I think he could be special
How presumptuous.

Ha ha Greeninbingley…
I was thinking – of all the sites I’d imagine there must be at least a couple of medically learned chaps/chapettes.

From that article:
` Celtic supporters often moan about the lack of caps given to the Lisbon Lions, `
Or it coulded have been worded thus:
`Celtic supporters often point out the lack of caps awardeed to the Lisbon Lions.`
“Celtic supporters often moan about the lack of caps given to the Lisbon Lions, but what is perhaps less well known is the number of times Jock Stein prevented his own players from reporting for duty. Why risk Bobby Murdoch for a Finland game when there’s a European semi-final a few weeks away?”
Another cracker from Neil Cameron
Celtic fans can never moan about anything
AT 7.24am
Vivid memories of watching that game at my brothers house after spending the day avoiding the score (even in Oz, this is not easy when Epl is involved). On arrival had to check if he’d manage to negotiate his day without finding out the score- check. The omens were good!
Both relieved we sat down to watch the game with a couple of other pals.
When we got the free, said to my bro ‘ this is Naka country’
‘Na, too far out ‘ he said
Next minute…bedlam as we watch it curl into the top bin and proceed to bounce around his lounge room in delight. Tense game followed and I thought we’d blown it when we gave away the pen. Up steps the holy goalie, mare bedlam.
Loved going to work the next morning seeking out all the epl followers to tell them about one of the best free-kicks in CL history.
Naka was one of a kind.
Cheers for sharing.

AN TEARMANN
I try to take my love for Celtic out of it, and therefore I am not sure if I succeed
Part two (hard to post with all the jumping around.)
… but I think Naka’s free kick at Celtic Park is the best I have ever seen.

Anyone get the chance to read Peter Crouch- How to be a footballer, would recommend.
Behind the scenes account of his time playing in the PL. Very funny in parts. Story of him and his Liverpool teammates go-karting the day before the CL had me in stitches.
Comes across as very down to earth which is ironic for someone who would have to duck for low flying aircraft…:)
Patter polis will be at my door shortly…:)

Apparently ,on being asked what he would have been if not a professional footballer, the bold Peter replied, ” A virgin”.
13 years ago Lord how time flies, that was my best trip ever to Paradise. We managed to get 6 tickets out of 3 Season Books but were scattered around the ground. I was with my mate just behind the goal where the Holy Goalie saved the penalty. Never forget that night.
Looks like the buffalo sale continues on the SMSM. Latest pish is that Saint-Etienne bulk away from Hun’s saying they are greedy, now I take it the SMSM think we have no access to the internet?!?
Just a wee wonder onto their website and look at their purchases this season: 4M euro’s for one guy and two 1.8 buys. So suddenly we are to believe they would spend 20+m on the well announced asking price for buffalo.
Of course perhaps the rumours are true and Saint-Etienne are only offering what they think is right price………………………another 1.8M buy !!

That link to the ET was also the paper version in the Herald yesterday.
Two for the price of hun😀
Really love we’re here blames Jock Stein (obliquely) for the lack of Lions caps.
So it was Big Jock who took Jinky to the 74 World Cup and left him on the bench for three games?
new article posted.

A copywriter in an advertising agency is his serious answer.
He was in awe of Gerrard as a player, has a whole chapter on him in the book. In his down time he was fanatical about football according to the big chap.

Still buzzing with Taylors performance the other night.Added to his display for us in his first game,he looks a player.Fit as a butchers dog.He deserves a run in the first team.I like Hayes but he is not a LB.Should only be used as cover.
