Canamalar, I don’t really want to get involved in the spat but I’m just trying to make sense of it.
Correct me if I’m wrong but my understanding is that one Poster said he had heard that Lenny was advised to move home because of a credible threat. Only a couple of Posters reacted to the post which obviously disappointed you and prompted you to have a general go at the lack of empathy from the general blog.
I for one can’t remember reading original post but I normally wouldn’t react to an unsubstantiated rumour or story.
If this is true and is confirmed I would indeed be outraged as I believe would every right minded person.
I trust the integrity of the vast majority of Posters here including your good self, I believe the reason for the muted response was people were not sure if it is true or not and as far as I know we still don’t know if it’s true,

James Forrest having a ‘nightmare’ consists of not fancying the odds against the doubled-up full backs most of the time and passing it back to the FB or inside to another player.
The other times he will usually make something positive happen whether he beats his man (or men) and crosses or shoots etc.
My point is he’s clever enough to know when to play safe.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen him not fancy his chances when the FB is isolated.
I think we are very lucky that JF seems to be really happy at Celtic.
I think we will sign an experienced strker that’s good in the air and that can make wingers job easier ( and make them look better.
Imagine JF had the option to play crosses to Larrson or Sutton or Harston.
To me, for whatever reason it looks as if we are waiting on an answer from a real quality player at CF unless we are getting KBs from players and it’s not public.

Was back on confirming to Trad88 what he said was true and trusted his source 100%, now the last time the exact same claim was made not a single person on here demanded evidence! zero difference in the circumstances or the people under threat! but this time for some reason people demand evidence! why’s that? that grinds my gears.

Cananalar, I’m up for any campaign if this is true. All I’m saying is that so far we have heard it from one poster as far as I know it has not surfaced on any of the other site or twitter account. Do you not find that strange that one man feels he has 100% reliability of his source but no one else in Glasgow , the Club, the MSM or any other blog have taken up on this.
I obviously don’t live in Glasgow but it would be my impression that this story if true would sweep through the City like wildfire.

Yer right it’s being made circular but a wee reminder, bar kerrydale street, the others contributed to this blog the last time this happened.
I’m happy to accept the word of Sean Thornton who is 100% sure of the information, it wasn’t even a question the last time. It’s no like its never happened before or he’s a new name on the blog. The guy has been contributing on here for years, so I expect he knows full well the gravity of the information he shared.
The old double plural is very rarely used nowadays, sadly.

Canamalar, Last word, There is also the possibility that if it’s true that Lenny might prefer to keep a lid on it as publicity could encourage other scumbags to get involved.
If Lenny wants to keep this private we would be doing more harm than good to be highlighting it no matter how well intentioned our motives are.

LAST LAST Word, Canamalar I don’t doubt you at all. You are not the most diplomatic person on the planet but you spearheaded the Res 12 Campaign and you have earned your street cred. but don’t be to quick to judge the rest of us. Huddersfield fanzines are saying he was best right back in the Championship but struggled in the Premiership, they reckon he will be a huge success in Scotland. I know that sounds condescending but that is their take.

I suggest Lenny is not the only one involved here and maybe it was his family who can’t handle the terror again and are hoping for support similar to the last time.
Remember after 6 months silence and multiple relocations in the middle of the night the polis continued to demand silence. Only after it became public knowledge were they allowed to return home and given the protection they deserved.
As I said earlier, anti terror intelligence should be dealing with this, this should have been published immediately the threats were considered serious and the family should be protected in their own home to live a normal life with the full force of the law hounding anyone that thinks differently.
Again, remember, the family were moved from their home the night before football matches because of threats, rather than protect the family at home the polis turned up and told them to pack their bags they were moving.
And all the while the meeja were declaring he brings it on himself.
Oh and one other thing, the last time when enough fuss was raised, it was all very quickly confirmed, how would you feel if the reticence of the Celtic support to make a fuss contributed to prolonged terror for his family because we demanded proof.

A concern of mine would be, a while back, we seemed to get a lot of these guys, the Lee Naylor, Danny Fox type guys who were okay but were never going to improve us in Europe.
As I say, if we’ve bought him, I’ll welcome him, hope he does great… but hope were not going back down yesteryears well trodden path.

Canamalar, If it is true, we should of course mount a huge campaign, including letters to MPs etc and that is what will happen but surely we need something more than one man’s word no matter how reputable before we kick off. But again I ask how is it that not one other person or source has come forward to substantiate the story. I will think about it and have a good nights sleep.
