LEO FASAN TIPPED FOR TOP

LEO FASAN is developing so fast as a goalkeeper of quality that he may save Celtic a transfer fee in the summer.
Ronny Deila is bound to look for cover for Craig Gordon and the Italian is pressing his claims to get a chance.
Development Squad manager Stevie Frail rates the shotstopper highly.
He said: “When we played Dunfermline last week, we gave up a bit of territorial possession and they had a few shots in the second-half, but Leo dealt with that and also saved a penalty-kick, so he deserves a special mention.
“I thought he was terrific.

“That makes it sound as if we were under pressure, but these are the saves he had to make and they were first class.

“We try to play it out from the back and he was working that, too.

“He was getting the ball out from side to side and was using the centre-backs and full-backs so I’m really pleased with the performance from Leo.

“He’s developing really well because of the games, but a lot of the credit goes to Leo for that.

“The youngster is also working with top goalkeepers like Craig Gordon and Lukasz Zaluska every day and that can only benefit his development.

“He also has, in my opinion, two of the best goalkeeping coaches in the country working with him – Colin Meldrum and Stevie Woods – and they work with him tirelessly.

“You can see the rewards of that and, hopefully, he can keep going and push Craig all the way.”
