The SFA may well find Dave King not Fit and Proper to be a director of a football club but, if it happens, it will only be a token gesture. King would be forced to resign as a director of Newco, but he would remain the major shareholder.
There is nothing to stop him activing as a shadow director – exercising all the power but without the legal liabilities. There is nothing to stop him attending board meetings, or from appointing his own placemen on the board. Football’s Fit and Proper test is no more than a token curiosity, it is not worthy of the column inches it is regularly attributed.
Newco will remain a basket case as long as King remains in control, as director or otherwise. There is a chance this will change when he leaves, but no more than that. For me, anything that inhibits his ability to remain in control is unwelcome. Never interrupt your enemy when he’s making mistakes, as Napoleon almost said. Let the man get on with his work!

Good morning, friends, from a damp, grey EK.
I very rarely watch rugby. Primarilly due to the fact that whilst I know how the points scoring works, that’s about the extent of my understanding. No idea in general play what a team’s tactics are or whether they’re playing well. No idea what constitites ‘offside’ or why penalties are awarded.
However, I understand that the Scotland v Japan game goes ahead and that if Scotland win (by 7 clear points or something) then they qualify for the qurter finals. So at 11.45 I’ll watch the match and cheer on my country, the first of 2 Scotland games that I’ll tune into today ;-)
Great to see the big man from Donegal on, hadn’t seen him much lately, This old blog is making a comeback I’ll tell ye,
This Tim, going off to Killarney for a couple of days, these active retired specials are great fun. Killarney is not everyone’s cup of tea but I love the place, I head there at least 3 times a year,
Some of the roads not the best but am in no hurry .
Keep the CQN Flag flying Bhoys.
Safe journey Corky.hh

Killarney, only been once mid 70’s, lovely place. Still have a amusing photo of my dad and uncle eating from a wee gas stove from what they thought was a tin of hot pot.
It was actually dog food, picked up the wrong tin at the shop.

Hope Scotland can get the points they need, the possibility of going out of a tournament because of the weather would have made a joke of the teams going through imo even if they were the best teams.
Enjoy the egg chasing bhoys . Wales making heavy weather of their game at the minute only winning 7-6 against Uruguay

JOBO/HOT SMOKED/ PETEC
There was a time when running was like a drug to me, when i worked
offshore i had to find a way to release this pent up energy.
An oil rig isn’t exactly a place for marathon running but it could take you
ten minutes to walk round the bigger ones.
So needs must, quiet times, down to the spider deck, thats the steel gratings
nearest the water, just me underneath a whole thriving industry of machinery and
industrial moneymaking monstrosity
Half an hour laps, round and round, completely quiet with all that money
making mayhem going on above, and there was me and a few little migrant
birds of wonderful colour following me round my north sea course.
Whether they thought i was a fellow migrant i don’t know but when i ran
they flew, when i stopped they landed on the handrails.
Maybe that was the only time i became a true leader.

Cheers too. I’ve got prior arrangements made for that night which I’m trying to get out of… unlikely but if things do change at the last minute maybe there would still be space for one.
Away for a wee skim back…
Hail Hail 💚🍀
Get bach on here Tontine Tim.
Njoi the Celts of the FUTURE.
Humblism a bit like JUNGLISM.
Thats where the Lion roars.
I could not care less about the cheating SFA’s Scotland team/set up.
Terrible I know, but hey ho.
Clear out the SFA and get a fair and just organisation into run our game, only then will I care what happens in a football match of the nation of my birth.
Although I know very little about Rugby rules, I do hope Scotland win and go through as I think they have a fair game and a fair and just Association.
Hail Hail

C’mon Scotland X2
Did ITV just mute the sound at the ‘proud Edward’s Army’ line??? Shocking!

Hello again all you young rebels.
Just back in after a football fest, our young bhoys had a tough day today
winning one and losing two games to vastly more experienced teams in
a four team play off.
Lovely day and you can imagine my delight when one of the teams in the
older age group were in the hoops, Glen Waverley although our new strip
has the white bit at the top these ones had a green bit, looked good to me
although the 67 top will never be improved upon.
The wee mhan was a bit peeved cause i missed his goal while watching the
hoops on adjoining park lol.
Meant to say about my post previous about the two little redheads battering
lumps out of one another, the game was at Firhill hence the jags had the
bigger support, changed days eh?
Where the feck is Tontine? shirley there was nothing said that would keep
him away this long.
C’mon man help me oot ma memory misery lol.

MM – Hard luck to the young Bhoys.
Pass on my best wishes from the Garngad to the Mornington Celts.

The Garngad, there’s not another place name that exudes Celtic in my
opinion of course, no doubt the Coatbrig bhoys will challenge that and
what about Connairs Greenock and Port Glesga bhoys, oh my what
have i done?
Heid under the duvet.

Maybe a wee bit quiet again and because BANKIEBHOY put my offshore
running post on , here’s another tale from the cruel North Sea.
Nature is a strange beast and when your hundreds of miles from land on
a massive structure designed to maximise profit from oil underneath the
sea , what with the noise and movement from generators, dynamos, smoke
form welding burning and just feckin up the natural world order, you’d
think, how could nature survive?
But lo and behold all the lovely little birds migrating from North Africa would
use our rigs as pit stops, although as in my previous post some where obviously
disorientated.
But then we had the big tawny owl who thought mmm… i’m having some of that
and parked his erse up in the derrick, easy pickings from a lot of tired birds.
But apart from birds, what about sunfish? apparently they only inhabit warmer
waters, well maybe the climate change people have a good point to make
because i seen many that should not have been there.
O.K i was on a roll there, maybe i’ll get back to posting about potted heid 8-))
