Since Martin O’Neill arrived 15 years ago, the number of games Celtic have played with truly no pressure on is less than 30 (or about the same number we played the season before he arrived). There’s almost always an angle when Celtic take the field, even after the league is won, whether there’s a cup final to prepare for, or a close rival to take on (as last week), or a trophy to collect (as next week).
But not tonight. Tonight Celtic can take the field with a broader agenda than simply winning the game, we can experiment. Hopefully we’ll not see players the manager doesn’t want, and there’s little point filling the team full of mainstays of the side. Tonight is a chance of Darnell to continue his rehab, for Lukasz to give Gordon the night off, for (deep breath) Stefan Scepovic to lead the line!
Big Jason has had a fantastic season, but unless there’s enormous changes in Manchester, he’ll wave goodbye next week, so give Eoghan O’Connell a start. It’s also an occasion when Ronny might want a look at Tom Rogic. In fact, I want a look at Tom Rogic.
A change at goalkeeper, right back, central defence, centre mid and striker would give all areas of the team a fresh feel. Let’s have it.

Who is Boeriggter?
jude
he couldn’t sing and play guitar at the same time …
ps… would love to see Armstrong and Biton given a run in the middle of the park …. think they would be the future cornerstone of the team…
If you were thinking of selling your soul, just for the sake of conversation, and I am talking about your Celtic soul as opposed your socialist soul, or whatever other kind of other soul you might have, just your Celtic soul…
how much would you sell it for?
Two free lunches at Paradise?
Three free lunches at Paradise an two free tickets to the next auld firm game?
How much is your soul worth to you?
Your Celtic soul.
Remembering today two great Celtic legends,
Bobby Murdoch and Tommy Burns.
God bless them.

Enjoy the game in the Port
I’m in danger of not making the ‘drinks’ – just had the biggest Gin and Tonic on record in a wee cafe in Andtrax – I though the lassie had already added the Tonic to my almost full half pint glass but no there is the full bottle still waiting to be added

Spot on. Tho the other ones were funnier
“Apparently he was a very poor left back”
Craigellachie,
Correct. His selection in this position was the inspiration behind the song 3oclock Blues…….seemingly :p

Mike,
I’d prefer Broony to start but I’d quite like to see your suggestion too.

Will pete the piss ripper still get his EPL-level bonus this year with, no Champions League money coming in?
Well ladies and gents, bed time for me; big game tomorrow with my boy playing right midfield; it’s a local derby, the Fransicians’ against the Marists’, before the game I’ll take my boy to the 24 hour chapel of McDonalds for a couple of hash browns and a chocolate smoothie. All you ex-marathon runners out there know the essence of chocolate and all you lapsed rebels, well, I hope you sleep well.
Time to put my soul on the pillow.
I wish today I loved the club like I used to love the club but today I just can’t find it in me to support dollar chasing charlatans.
You boys, and girls, be kind to yourselves and if you can’t keep your soul… then don’t let it go cheap.
Tom McLaughlin. I think you’re thinking about Bo Derek.

When the Celtic directors welcome the huns back into the league next season does that then mean that, the ‘statement’ in the Herald has fallen on deaf ears?
Just askin.
jude …. were you really expecting comedy from a theologian/lawyer?! :)
Saw BB a few times, and one of my favourite ever shows was by his partner in crime, Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland …probably 10 years ago,… it was in a small blues club …stinking seaty hot …..he was probably late 60’s early 70’s …. but looking good in that white suit/old southern gentleman sort of way …. and he could still sing! and the woman … the women! old, young, they loved him …. swooning every time he sang ‘love’ …. even a few knickers thrown on stage, and a few swooning!
On my best day, I’ll never be half as cool as that old man was that night!
I’ll get the friday night music session going early …. here’s one of my favourites he did with BB

I still don’t believe Rangers will get through the play-offs, so I have absolutely no idea when this “next old firm game” that a few posters keep referring to will take place.
Until they are promoted, I have no inclination to even think of “the next old firm game”.
Works for me.

All the best to yer bhoy sir.
Celtic dont exist anymore – it’s that bad that even Fergus had to leave by the side door.
YOUR soul is eternal – believe that.
Sleep well old fenian – Hail Hail
Kinda hard to respond to someone with no name.
Maybe that’s the general idea.
Afternoon Timland from a hot hun free mountain valley.
I agree Paul, give a few a rest, and play those who have a future at the club.
I still think given a chance SS will do the biz for us, he played as a lone striker when in Spain, so he knows the role, perhaps taking him longer than expected to settle into a war game as opposed to a game of football.

They’ll beat Hibs (cos it’s Hibs), then face Killie in the playoff, we all know how that will go. Hope I’m wrong.
Geordie …
, since we dont have the talent of many of the teams we will face in Europe, we need to be a fitter, better coached and smarter team than them ….
NB knows how to play the game … see space and passes ….we need to get the rest of his team up to his level in this regard ….. but he reminds me a bit of Ki …. who I also thought was a truly class footballer … but lacking that self confidence to assert control over the team and be a real leader …..
I think SA has the smarts and the game and the heart to be a real leader at Celtic ….he could be the on-field general we have been lacking for years …..his skills combined with NB’s vision and passing …. a formidable base to build Celtic’s team around for the next several years (if we can hold on to them).
bart simpson sold his soul for $5
in a separate incident homer simpson sold his for a doughnut
neither situation went well and both were relieved to eventually get it back
be warned
My soul is available in exchange for a debauched night with some Ukrainian wench, some Guinness, vodka, spicy sausage and a mighty fine jukebox.
If you chuck in a night of debauchery with Henrik as well, you can have my livers, kidneys and plums. Heck, take the lot.

The Hun with no name.
Some Zenit fans told me about their experience in Manchester. Crucially, they were outnumbered. Otherwise…

‘I’m terrible with chords…’
BB King in U2’s Rattle & Hum….
Denayer will play as vvd is injured the thought of playing zaluska is frightening,if we are changing goalie perhaps Fasan should play , he is going to be here next season zaluska isn,t. Rogic on the bench and brought on with enough time to get into the game.as lots of fans have paid a lot of money , the team should be strong we do not go to watch CELTIC getting beat by a pub side , why bitton and johansen need a rest with only two games left is ridiculous, what or who are we resting them for, the disgusting state of Israel or the whal murdering scum from scandinavia
The man with no name
Malorbhoy – I know – found it by a fluke the week Henke put us through v Boavista – romantically linked to Andtrax ever since
Tom
I believe Sevco are almost certain to remain in the Championship after the play-offs. For it to be otherwise, and they do get past QotS, then they need Hibs to have a couple of `Hibs` games against them and they then need the Premier League side to be Kilmarnock who are the worst team in the top Division at the moment. Any other scenario will, I am sure , see them being defeated.

Yeah…..what makes you think that I might be a man?
Bobby Murdoch: a Celtic man… http://www.cqnmagazine.com/?p=5260
