Level of professionalism enveloping Celtic

404

If the Premiership divides into four groups:

Celtic: 8 points clear at the top with 67 games in hand.

Hearts, Newco and Aberdeen: within 2 points of each other in the battle for two Europa League games in June 2017.

St Johnstone: isolated in the middle of an 8 point bubble.

The rest: all 2 points from the automatic relegation spot.

Then Motherwell top their group.  They have infinitely more to play for than Celtic at Fir Park tomorrow.  For them, this is about livelihoods.

We have an early kick-off at what will be a hostile environment.   Arrive with your war face on, Celtic, and get the job done.

Pretty stunning work by the Celtic commercial team, who, alone against the nation’s major retailers, were promoted by The Telegraph as one of The best Christmas 2016 adverts.  A level of professionalism is beginning to envelop the club (and I know it’s not there completely yet).

    Evening All.

Not long in from the Blane Valley where all appear to be in good form – well they were ok when I left.

The Lisbon trip moves on apace.

Re fundraising, I have been working on a wee scheme which will take up all of 2017 and which has been described as “ambitious” but having crunched some numbers and taken some soundings I think could be achieved so making a somewhat remarkable impact.

The details are still being worked out but hopefully these will be ironed out over the next couple of weeks.

    Beyond that all good.

As for a calendar? Hmmmm why do the Blobingdales come to mind?

Sorry if I upset you, the X in Xmas is an abbreviation of the Greek word for Christ, the name is Xhristo, but I may be wrong.

I do know that many Christian people feel that using the X takes the Christ out of Xmas, I used to think so too many years ago.

My use of Xmas is not meant to offend..

  3. jmccormickc – absolutely no problem my friend. Have heard that reasoning before actually so must just be one of my many (and ever increasing) OCD things!

  4. Updates on the big Chamionship game running a bit behind. About 10 minutes ago Hibe were awarded a stonewall penalty. They missed. Then 4 minutes ago Dunde Utd got thier turn from the spot and are now 1 nilup. Crowd just announced as 10,925.

Just got my 5th card bit of my bet up but can’t see 2 goals and 6 corners in the last 11 minutes….

  5. I actually maintain an Excel spreadsheet of the things that I have OCD about and the last time they happened….

I also have a summary mastersheet that brings th edata together..

    Above all of that…..

  6. Also, I hate it when I type too fast (most mornings) and notice that the spacing between 2 consecutive words is wrong, e.g. the edata rather than the data.

To recover fron this I often watch a time delayed recording featuring Ant and Dec……

    Good Evening Fholks

Robert C, Kevin T, Clare T and myself had the pleasure of representing the Walk With Shay campaign team at the Andy Lynch Book signing yesterday as one of the two chosen charities. The other charity was “A Statue for Bobby.”

This gave us a platform to spread further awareness of the campaign and sell some of our magnificent Club Captain prints ( have you ordered yours yet?) based on the original drawing produced by our talented CQNer, Thunder Road.

A big thank you must go out to CQN organisers, Winning Captains and WC Jnr, Andy Lynch and Paul John Dykes ( the author) for their magnificent hospitality and indeed for running a raffle on the night to which we and the other Charity were the recipient of the funds. Thank you again.

A special mention to everybody that is helping with the campaign in any small or big way, whether it is helping, organising, donating, wishing well, dreaming, reading and listening.

Nobody comes into this for recognition, but I am taking the time to thank you for finding it in your heart to help this young family.

So many people Walking With Shay, You do us proud!

I reckon we are in for a very different second half of the season compared to the first. Football is truly global now and if there is a move for neymar by manu, barca might panic and make a big money sweep for wallace and forrester

1967 saw the release of many influential albums. It’s almost as if they wanted to pay homage to the greatest achievement ever that year.

*Hmmm, ‘66 for me with IMHO and a couple of Beatles the best album of all time, Pet Sounds, there was also Blonde on Blonde, Revolver, Aftermath and Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme/ Sounds of Silence.

It was also the last year I was single.

Was it the Grey Brigade CQN OAP Christmas night out or a practise for the big event? :-)

The CQN Thursday 5s athletes Christmas night out is on the 17th, whilst the Sat 5s athletes are out tomorrow :-)

Being a double (chin) 5s athlete, I am going to both.

No it was the real night oot but I left early due to supposed wean duties – though both buggers went out the minute I came in so I needn’t have bloody bothered.

Hamilton Tim was there so I can only presume he is out every night from now till Christmas as he will no doubt be going to the Trust night out, The FAC night out, The Polis night out, The Board night out and the various nights out you mentioned as well as those that Minx will drag him along to!

It’s an annual occurrence on here.

    After the poppy debate.

And before the ‘when does Lent end?’ debate.

  16. 8 league games in December including 3 midweek matches, not withstanding an away CL match to Man City. Absolute madness in football scheduling with no consideration whatsoever given to the paying punter.
