ST MIRREN will insist Celtic return Lewis Morgan to them on loan for the remainder of the season when the expected £300,000 deal is sealed.
The 21-year-old winger, who scored in the 1-1 draw with Morton yesterday, is a key player in the Paisley club’s push for promotion back to the Premiership.
There have been suggestions the Hoops will want the player on a permanent basis immediately to cover for injury victims Jonny Hayes and Paddy Roberts.
But Saints chief executive Tony Fitzpatrick said: “We are unanimous and unequivocal – Lewis will be staying with St Mirren for the rest of the season.
“That is a non-negotiable part of any deal with any club.
“He is a vital part of the manager’s plans for the rest of the season.”
