  1. Laxalt once again mom , think they realised they were in a game and brought on their first team regulars and stepped it up a gear and put us under severe pressure and over ran our very tired looking players in our midfield, our centre defence is a big big worry , Duff y once again very poor , don’t know what he brings to the team apart from panic.

A BIG step in the right direction.

SMSM and trolls will focus on losing a 2 goal lead and Ajer injury, but we will not drop many points in Scotland playing like that..

Still lots of work to do. Their second was a dreadful goal to concede.

  3. glendalystonsils on

The quicker Jullien is back to defend these crosses into our box the better . Down to the bare bones now and Duffy looks to be struggling for fitness .

  4. Obviously a good result away from home given the opposition. Disappointed that maybe we couldnt get a goal in the second half, had some good ‘occasions’ as they say in those parts. Big game on Sunday, and no mistake, and one helluva n opportunity. Record books await. Encore une fois. N’est-ce pas.

  5. 2-2 to a good side away from home. Think we have to be content with that.

Laxalt is a real find. He can certainly defend. Great game awareness. Brilliant timing in the tackle.

Better shape about the team until they scored and then we lost it for about 15 minutes.

I’m watching Kris Boyd on sky sports. I enjoy his overt excitement about his team. When the bubble bursts his greeting face is going to be a joy to behold. You’d honestly think he was describing Real Madrid or Barcelona. He never learns.

  6. Gonna watch this Hun game, but the sound off.Rob Mc Lean, should be on Hun TV.Shocking Hun bias.

Big Rogne captain of the Catholic team.

  7. Burnley 78 – you want to hear sky sports. 4 games without a win, celtic disappointed again at dropping points – meanwhile the others are bigged up. Used to annoy me, now I absorb it and enjoy our success all the more because of it.

  8. Who before the game started would have been disappointed with a draw in France. The fact that so many of us are now is that we really could have won that. Lille are a good team but you know what, we probably had more chances to win that than they had.

I think we are a decent team, in fact the best team in Scotland.

We will get the TEN by at least 7 points

    COYBIG and FTB

  9. I actually thought that was the best game of the season from McGREGOR,DUFFY and MOI.

That raise in levels makes all the difference.

Laxalt was equally good but he appears to retain a very high level which is one of the most positives things to come out this season.

Christie worked hard and Ajeti also played much better than last time.

Frimpong was another who played alot better and Ajer continued his fine form this season.

Scott Bain could have done better for the first Lille goal but other than that he produced the best performance by a celtic keeper this season.

Ncham looked nice enough for 45 mins but I thought he was dreadful in the second half.

Scott Brown was a bit off the pace

But the manager Neil Lennon deserves credit for picking a positive team AND making very good subs that helped us hold on in a way we did not on sunday at Aberdeen.

  10. Laxalt is the only player to ever win the coveted CQN MOTM award 3 games in a row. He wont be too far away from 4 in a row. On the other hand, we’ve not won a single game since he replaced Greg Taylor 😜

  11. A bit disappointed at the end considering how we started but definitely would have taken a point before kick-off. We were under the kosh for most of the second half but apart from poor defending for the first goal and really unlucky miss hit and deflection Bain saves it.

Ref a hun, why do we always get these clowns in Europe? I didn’t think we’d ever save a penalty again now that Forster is gone, well done the keeper.

I reckon we’ll steamroller the Dons on Sunday, you heard it here first!

Duffy was poor in my opinion.

He’s going through one of those spells centre halfs all face, every mistake punished, rash tackles. He even managed to deflect in the 2nd goal (i’m sure it was him).

  13. Saint Stivs

I think NFL will be delighted that we performed better, but admit that some tired legs & two poor goals denied us a victory.

I think he’ll be disappointed not to have won.

    Is that a complaint?

  14. THE_HUDDLE on 29TH OCTOBER 2020 8:13 PM

Duffy has been poor all season but tonight?…come on man?

He was outstanding…. I thought and the penalty against him was a joke

  15. for duff y to have his best game so far , that wouldn’t have been difficult , but as I said before what does he bring to the team other than panic, very poor again tonight.

  16. Good to see Neil getting involved from the touchline

Disappointed with the result but overall probably a fair reflection of the game.

  17. Extremely enjoyed the game today, shape was good, could have won but would have took draw every day of the week 19 times on a saturday.

  18. Well, that wasn’t boring.

Very very good and very very poor.

Would have taken the draw pre game.

  19. Would always take an away point in Europe

There was always going to be a reaction from them second half.

    Ajer injury helped them.

Subs bewildering, brings on two players who have been out

with Covid leaves Griff on the bench. Can’t understand that.

  20. He was outstanding…. I thought and the penalty against him was a joke

dearie dearie , easily pleased and the tackle on the line for the penalty was clumsy and rash.

  21. I thought Duffy had a good 2nd half, the penalty he gave away wasn’t a penalty but he was certainly rash with his tackles in first half.

Plenty of good displays, Bain, Laxalt, McGregor & Elyounossi wer.

e my top 4, I hate having to drop one for the Jobo show.

I honestly am not too bothered whether we progress in the Europa,

Obviously I want us to go through but my main focus is on the League Title,

The only downside of the night was injury to Ajer, with games coming thick & fast we could have done without that.

Overall delighted with the night , if I’m allowed one crib I thought we should have made our substitutions earlier. However it shouldn’t be a night for cribbing, we went & put on a show & came away with a deserved draw,

Well done Lenny & the Team,

  23. Lazydynamite

It wasn’t a penalty but it was a freekick.

He missed the ball & kicked the defender’s foot & that part was easy for the ref.

Ref had a second look at where their man had fallen & gave the PK

He was unlucky that there was no VAR because it should have been a free kick on the edge.

I thought he played better tonight but even he’ll still think that we conceded 2 poor goals.

One from a spawny deflection when we couldn;t get a hold of it inside our own half.

The second froma corner that we couldn’t win in the air & left their man unmarked at the far post & we had no one inside the far post.

The whole team played better tonight & we needed that before Sunday’s game.

  24. DESSYBHOY on 29TH OCTOBER 2020 8:03 PM

    Duffy gave away a penalty..

Not so. If it was a foul it fell into the ‘marginal’ category. The crux of the matter is that the offence, if there was one, was clearly outside the box.

  25. Don’t know why Moi didn’t have a shot when through late in the game – even if it ballooned over the bar it would have kept the pressure off our still fragile defence (10 goals conceded in 4 games).

Another game highlighting the need for pace throughout the team. I watch a lot of football across Europe and it’s a lot about tempo and energy.

Doesn’t matter how talented you are if you get caught with the ball all the time. European teams are littered with Brazilian and African players and the are nearly all athletes with pace and good engines. Only a few of our team can match that for 90 minutes.

Will be interesting to see our team selection on Sunday as I can’t see us going 5 games without a win – and I bet McInness feels the same !

  26. Gene

Moi had agreat chance tried to dribble rather than shoot from the edge of the box,we score then we win cuase they would have gave up, their pressure was to get a break a mistake which happened twice Bain with a bit of luck saves the first and a sclaff on the turn gets a deflection for the second, fair result not sure, thought we should have won , they never cut us open, but we defend poorly at times and never seem to get the luck other teams do regularly.

  27. Ron. What is it with you?

Celtic have had a great night and all you are consumed with is naming a scapegoat.

    Sad.

Veryclumsy some contact guy falls in the box its going to be given these dont get missed by folk reffing us

  30. glendalystonsils on

Duffy’s tackle was both clumsy and unnecessary but it should not have been a penalty as it was outside the box . No VAR in EL group stages for some reason . Other than that , he was ok , not being dragged out of position as he was on Sunday , but still looks short of fitness.

  31. I enjoyed tonight’s game. Not said that for a while! Hail hail – and tonight was a turning point.
