Aye. I’ve been there before on the subject of the Myth – he wasn’t the manager for the first two by the way.
But the target was always 10. They weren’t even subtle about that from the boardroom to their odious fans. They don’t like being reminded of that either.
And yes, the Huns failed to beat Jock Stein’s record. They were the second team to claim nine-in-a-row … a pretty shallow achievement. I mean how many people can instantly remember the name of the second person claim they stepped on the moon.
One thing though. Myth didn’t decide to stop spending the money – Moonbeams did. After another inglorious European exit Myth was told he was getting no more money and he was leaving at the end of the season.

Been a fan of the game for about 20years, but never really followed a team until Mo White tackled Drew Bledsoe and put him out of the game. A rookie QB took over from him, TomBrady, and it was interesting to see how he got on. So I started watching out for him and the Patriots. The rest, as they say, is history!
I bet Mo White and the Jets could have that tackle back!!
I’ve been to Wembley a couple of times, and was in Dublin last week for the NotreDame game. Can’t do Wembley this year though.

When you watch a game like that, then you watch a soccer game in the EPL or Europe where players feign injury or go down if someone farts near them, it is embarassing.
I was talking about this to some Irish friends last week in Dublin about the same thing.
Instead of hero worshipping overpaid, lazy, skilless soccer players in the EPL, the Irish should be putting the hurlers and football players on pedestals. Or Katie Adams. They have something fantastic in front of them, but their heads are up their rear ends when Sky and the EPL are on the TV.
