Every pass and cross sees the ball bobble up. Poor poor surface.
Hopefully Brendan will be aware of this and is working on it. He did pick better teams in pre season than this one. But tbf i thought the basics would be better. He can’t make poor players great players he can only work with what he has. Get LG in the middle though.

Poor pitch obviously not helping, but not moving the ball quickly enough. All a bit one-paced.
Dembele looks a player and the goal should probably have stood.

Even our set pieces have been very poor.
Half Time Nil All. Very frustrating half, trying to break the Imps down on a dreadful pitch is not proving easy.
Both team & Supporters need to stay calm, we are clearly the dominant team, we had a good goal chalked off, we should get one or two in second half.
I know people will say we should beat this mob on any surface but it is terrible and definitely has leveled off the skill levels.
The pitch is awful.
Not allowed to play on it for international games, but it’s ok for the CL????
11 men behind the ball, passing difficult on a dreadful pitch, ball retention is okay, most of the time.
Passing through them difficult on that, might be a night for some balls into Dembele, who is starting to have an impact.
Any win today is a good result, if we can get away with no injury’s.
Get them back to CP and play football, they won’t get close.

If the surface is bad then play bit more direct !!! All this square passing instead of running at the defence and putting their defence under pressure just builds their confidence and hope that they can nick one on the break.
Again – why two holding midfield players ?? Who are the back 6 up against ?? Get our players into forward positions and drive at them to create the chances

This game should never be played on a pitch like that but you can see why the Red Imps wouldn’t want it moved.
