LINFIELD SPARK EURO TICKET CHAOS

LINFIELD will trigger a controversial ticket scramble before the Champions League first leg qualifier against Celtic at Windsor Park a week tomorrow.

Police Service Northern Ireland were unable to stage the match on the allocated dates of July 11 or 12 because of the marching season and the tie will be played at the end of next week with a 5pm kick-off.

Tickets for two stands will be strictly allocated to home fans, but briefs for the North Stand will be sold via Ticketmaster who’ll be selling in batches of four to anyone with access to a phone and bank/credit card.

Despite the Hoops refusing to take an allocation for the match in Belfast, a number of fans have indicated they intend being in attendance as the Parkhead outfit kick off their European campaign.

The Irish title-winners announced: “Supporters will be able to purchase North Stand tickets online through Ticketmaster. These tickets will go on sale from Friday July 7 at 10:00 and are priced at £30 for adults and £20 concession.

“Purchases will be restricted to a maximum of 4 tickets per person and sales will only be available using a credit card for payment. All North Stand tickets will be allocated seating.”

Linfield warn that travelling supporters will be refused admission.
