Lions Roar, the last giant standing, CQN Mag is out!

824

Issue 16 of CQN Magazine is out today and (in my never humble opinion) is our best yet.  We are right up to date, with coverage of the Scottish Cup final.  Phil Mac Giolla Bhain gives historical perspective on Celtic’s position as the last apex in the game.

You’ve ready plenty of great stories of how people got their tickets Seville and we bring you a very Celtic story on how one man got his.  Did you notice we’ve mentioned Willie Wallace a bit recently?  Some of the reasons why are covered by two of Scotland’s best writers, Brogan Hogan and Archie MacPherson, excerpts of their contributions to Heart of a Lion are here for you.

There are lots more great articles….. including our cover theme, The Lions Roar Again Event.  The remaining Lisbon Lions are back at Celtic Park for a Q&A and Lisbon film show, in aid of 1254125.  The first event was one of those special Celtic occasions, if you missed it, make sure you get along this time.

Opportunities like this don’t come along often.  Book your tickets for the event here, bring the family.

DON’T TRY TO READ THE MAGAZINE FROM THE GRAPHC BELOW, that is just a teaser.  For a proper read, go here.  Use the navigation buttons at the bottom to flick through pages or zoom in.

  1. On the journey back from a game at Tannadice Macari went to view a house.

The entire team sat outside on the bus while the bold Lou took in the habitual delights.

  2. Season ticket number 6 purchased this morning for our family, youngest son now bringing our wee group up to 2 adult, 1 youth, 3 kids.

We’ll need our own section soon, the Green & Grey Brigade!!

just started to go back to early morning posts & those figure for stokes are an eye opener new was a good goal scorer & his assist rate was good but didn’t realise his tally per match if you include sub app was so high, getting him signed up should be a major boost, especially when him & Hoops are sometimes almost telepathic together!

    thanks great post.

Both Hoops and Anto have impressive goals to game ratios however i fecked up a simple maths task (and me an engineer!!!!) and divided the stats in the wrong order

should read Hoops 63 goals 90 games ratio of 0.7 goals per game

Anto 31 goals from 58 games equates to 0.53 goals per game.

    Both impressive stats.

  4. Season ticket sales must be going well, person to my left in ticket office was trying to get 2 tickets together in Main Stand and was told there were only individual seats and the person to my right was trying to get 3 together in North Stand and was told the best he could get was 2 together & 1 behind.

still a lethal pairing & their link up play sometimes borders on telepathic, Hope we manage to keep both of them!

  7. FWIW, Stokes, imo, is a really good player. It’s a shame he was out for so long injured, but he is a very clever player and links up play to good effect and has played a considerable part in Hooper’s goal-scoring rate. He works really hard on the field and, if it came down to it, I would rather keep him and lose Hooper. His goals ratio is also good and enhances his all-round contribution to the team. He needs a good run of 90 min games (a dozen) to get his sharpness up and show his true worth – again, imo.

For someone who is no stranger to making a controversial post or three, you have a strange predilection to pointing out those of others.

ACGR can look after himself, but I thought the supercilious nature of your reply was worse than anything he said.

  10. The first 3 responses couldn’t have been scripted better. The total scramble for the podium means there is definitely no shenanigans going on like match fixing etc.

I hear you waited before I was out of town before visiting? Wise move, not too keen on S&M clubs.

You have obviously learned a lot from them though-you gave one of our brethren a right good spanking yesterday!!!!!

Stokes can improve his tally if he remains injury free and if Hoops leaves or God forbid gets injured next season we would have an able deputy in stokes.
