Michel Platini’s Financial Fair Play initiative at Uefa has been one of the more inspiring developments at the top of our game for decades. It brought spending into line with income throughout the English game and punished what Platini called financial doping.
It has been so effective, Platini now promises to relax the rules. The blame does not all sit with Platini. Uefa are dealing with 10 legal challenges to the rules, with complainant clubs citing European Law in their defence. The big football powers are split. The English appear in favour of FPP (Manchester City aside), while many stressed clubs across Europe are in opposition.
The concept of living within your means is still resisted in our game, not just in barred hold-outs in Scotland.

Why are we having so much trouble closing that advert when you try to open CQN. They tried to get rid of the Hun but the refuse to go away, now we have CQN putting up adverts that refuse to go away too.
Have been working away past 4weeks to very little time for football etc

We (Celtic supporters) took fair umbrage at Mhairi Black’s reference to us as ‘scum’. I am not sure that the supporters of Legia deserve this moniker.
Also, in all the years that Zbyszek has been on this blog, he has behaved (through his postings) as a fairly reasonable individual. I think he deceives a bit more respect that he has been receiving of late.

As you all know by now my Brother passed away yesterday morning,I put it on the blog as there were a dozen or so met him at a BBQ last summer and I thought I’d let them know he had passed away. It’s been a sad time but I’ve been overwhelmed by the condolences sent to me regarding my brother.There are far to many friends on here to thank in person, but my heart goes out to you all for your kind thoughts.
I am indirectly supporting Mr Z,re the behaviour of Legia fans at Murrayfield,i am pointing out that we have a small element at away games who IMO embarass the club,both inside and outside the stadium.If you think i am being unfair,go and see for yourselves.To think we have 100% well behaved fans is ridiculous.I am also aware of unnecessary provocation of our support,both away and by the FOCUS mob.HH
