⚠️ “DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE HEADLINES. – THE REAL NEWS IS THE EU ATTACK ON SOVEREIGN COUNTRIES LAWS. ⚠️ Irish MEPs weren’t deciding if men can get pregnant, that was just a debate about WORDS. The real issue is much bigger: the EU wants to HELP PEOPLE BYPASS THEIR OWN COUNTRY’S LAWS. That means a country can make a law, but the EU could fund a way around it. This is a direct attack on a country’s SOVEREIGNTY and the people’s SELF-DETERMINATION…..the RIGHT of a nation and its citizens to MAKE AND ENFORCE THEIR OWN RULES. There’s no EU help for sick kids, cancer, or rare diseases….but for this one issue, suddenly there’s MONEY and URGENCY. This isn’t about words. It’s about whether national laws are allowed to ACTUALLY WORK, and whether countries get to DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES.”

    No more Countries!

    EU is a Trap.

  2. Went out and blew away the cobwebs watched the match and a few bevys with the bhoys. The defence is a real concern what was solidified under MON is ultra porous and shambolic against struggling sides that is my real concern.

  3. I agree with comments on our porous defence as a result of our set up, particularly when playing Ralston and Yang neither of whom can defend. Another point for me in the last few games was while there was at times some good interplay and passing, too many of the 5 to 10 feet passing goes astray, really frustrating and that includes both McGregor and Tierney , usually reliable but not lately, so frustrating.

  4. Could we play KT on the right instead of Ralston and slot Scales in at KTs position.. Scales is a big miss defending balls coming into the box. He great at winning the ball in the air.

  5. While I feel the only way to judge our manager is when he has players who can play his system, we can’t (imo) continue as we are against the likes of Motherwell and the deid team. Any competent team playing down our right side will reek havoc. Play 4 at the back until the likes of Johnson are fit.

  6. Yes, but he won’t play 4 at the back. The system is all that matters. This is not just rigidity, it is stupidity, and a lack of footballing intelligence.

I can envisage the post-match interview on 3 January. ‘The patient died but the operation was successful.’

  7. I like the WN approach.

Attacking entertaining football should be a prerequisite for domestic football.

4 at the back is boring and the tippy tappy approach had our fans leaving in droves circa 75 minutes.

The Kairat Almaty game was defining. Nothing at all to do with WN, but he is the consequence.

Fasten up lads, football as an entertainment is back.

  8. Thought Sportscene reached a new low yesterday evening. Former player and manager of the deid team’s womens 11 commentating on the games. Neither able to say Motherwell were denied a stonewall penalty, although the camera showed it. How the MIB didn’t give it, never mind VAR calling him to review it has to be simply cheating.

Thanks Maestro for an actual post, my scrolling finger was getting worn out.

Timmy, I actually found it a quick scroll by. When you’ve got only two guys ‘talking’ to themselves/each other for hours I find it is fairly quick to get to someone whose post you are actually going to read. Hence my reference to your good self.

  10. I’m all for entertaining football but at the moment, imo, we aren’t being entertained if the system isn’t being played properly and that will only happen when we have the players who can put it into practice.

  11. Any team who know how to use space will rip us to bits, we are wide open and the triangular short passing plays often leads to us losing the ball and being turned over, likewise when we pass square witnessed by the first goal against yesterday when Yang running back and sliding in took Engels and Ralston out of the game, however AR hadnt a clue what to do when the guy run at him.

SIONNAIGH – someone was telling me yesterday The Mary Wallopers played the Barrowlands for 5 nights last week (?).

He said they were excellent. Did you go?

  13. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Good morning CQN

Another grand day to be a Celt.

Incredible to think, during this tumultuous season, no team in the SPFL has dropped fewer points than us.

(The old data bears this out. Facts and all that)

A bumpy second half of the season beckons.

Strap yourselves in and (try to) enjoy the ride.

    Nice one

  14. Anges sixth league game in charge was a terrible 1-0 defeat against bottom of the table Livingston. It meant we had the worst start to a league campaign in 25 years, and it didn’t get any better, we drew 1-1 with DU and got gubbed 4-0 at Parkhead in the Europa.

It took 14 games for Ange to really get us going.

Wilf took over a team that had scored the second fewest goals of any Celtic team in the last 25 years and he’s got us scoring lots. Improve the defence to a reasonable standard and we’re good 👍
