  1. Neil lennon left Celtic 207 days ago

We appear weaker on the pitch, maybe fairly even

We appear similar in the dugout, possibly a little stronger

We appear to be weaker in the operational football dept

    What changes are needed?

Doing nothing is not an option.

A lot of poor decisions have been made over those 200+ days

  2. Angeball has problems , big problems ,

the only positive being that sevco only gained 1 point on us .

    Poor performance , only Livi’s 2nd win against us in 30 .

  3. I’m afraid that’s as poor as I’ve seen us play in a long time.

Games like this is when we need a brown or aitken type to drive us on

  4. Not calling for it but I could see Ange getting the boot here.

Dom didn’t last too long, almost any manager could do what

Ange is doing. He has hardly won a game of any note.

  5. There are those on here who savage and abuse anyone that tries to be realistic and honest about the state of the team/squad. This ‘blindfold fingers in the ears’ brigade need to free-up their senses and start talking(posting) sense.

  6. Watched the game. TV coverage was poor and can’t see how we lost the ball in the lead up to their goal… good finish by the striker though.

Thought we played well enough and set up enough chances albeit none clear cut. Bounce of the ball / rub of the green not in our favour.

Bolingoli looked like an upgrade on Boli.

  7. were all all the usual defend the un defendsible posters, Livi fully deserved their victory , were do you start, Turnbull , McCarthy , the 2 wingers and other one that came on, dearie dearie we were crap.

  8. Head the ball

Your comment “we need fresh coaches” is not what real Celtic supporters say when we are looking to score. Ange was proud of his players on Thursday and you should be proud of him. If you have a suggestion who these fresh coaches are to be please let us know.

  9. AP needs to up his game and do it quick.

His A game might be OK for homes games and the Far East but he has had more than his fair share of schoolboy howlers. He needs to add a centre channel to our play — everything goes to the wings and all our oppositions know that. So many players out there we just get in each other’s road.

The squad are still not a team.

We have too many prima donnas / lightweights faffing about.

  10. That was really bad. Impossible to find a positive.

How can it be acceptable to play the ball sidewards and backwards, time after time ?

When our forwards are receive the ball on the edge of the box, they pass it back to the midfield rather than show some courage and take a player on.

Lennyball or crabball has become cowardsball. Possession is more important than risk taking.

    Disgusted.

  11. What I saw of this it was give the ball to Rogic, hoping he would create something he didnt he overplayed constantly, Turnbull needs to find a purpose in this team he cannot tackle and his movements are always away from the defender and never beyond them, 2 wingers and no one to get across defender commit or create confusion, last year it was give the ball to Christie hoping he did something, McCarthy was awful absolutely nothing to be positive about, Juranovic was posted missing at the goal and Welsh lost his man as he tried a fresh air swipe, big issues here, when we play there it should be 2 up and quicker getting it forward at least it gets them back, their defence cruised this game and I’m not surprised nothing has changed on the sidelines coaches wise, they knew what we would face and tried to run and build through the midfield.

  12. Always a tough read right after a sore one. It’s grim but not over ffs.

I’m also now speculating that Dom’s largish mistake was a 4-year one signed by a Mr McCarthy Esq.

Positives? I actually thought Boli did well – good energy, always showing and linking up in 1st game for how long? I thought CCV was good. Captn Joe too.

Very poor showings with nothing on offer from Juranovic, Mccarthy or Abada. For all DT was on ball he was all twist and no stick-it-to-them.

Ange; you’re making me look bad mate.

  13. I often come on to have a moan but then I read the absolute hysterical stuff and decide not to.

A poor display as soon as Livingston took the lead. Up to that point i thought we were doing well.

I’m puzzled about Bolingoli playing but thought it was to combat the aerial assault we usually endure on our left back slot. Largely it worked. We just didn’t do the basics well enough going forward.

But if you start a game with mccarthy, boli, jota all still effectively doing a pre season fitness wise you’re running the risk of a low energy performance.

Not good enough today. Simple as that.

I gather the orcs drew? If so it isn’t the disaster it could have been and I hope we have cal back soon and give Jura, Starfelt, CCV and Monty a run as a settled back 4. Or if Ange doesn’t think monty us ready, ralston at rb and juranovic at lb until we put a winning run, home and away together.

  14. Ange stood and watched that today for 72 mins before making changes.

He made the same mistake in hearts, sevco and betis games.

Seriously concerned about his wait and hope approach.

We may need to start looking now for a coach/manager as it is not going to work out in my humble opinion.

    Grim.

  15. That was a replica of the 0 2 game Oct 2019…..would any of the players who were out today have made a difference??…..maybe the big Greek guy …..from turnbulls pathetic 1st min free kick to the last min total dross …..the only bright spot on a horrible day was the huns not winning…unexpected bonus……this two wingers away from home in Scotland isn’t the way forward …two strikers …one winger please

  16. That was embarrassing. Where was Angeball? Where was bravery on the ball? Where was desire for the ball? As I said earlier no difference between this and play under NL and even Ange was standing there without emotion, no instructions, no energizing, just wondering what I don’t know. Probably thinking “this is how NL must have felt”.

Again our wingers nullified and crossing not great. No one seemed to be in the box when a decent ball (there were a few) came in. We can score when teams try to take us on and leave us space but when they just want to defend in numbers and counter us they usually succeed. I thought Hart and Carter-Vickers were fine but no one else was playing at a higher standard than many of the Livi players. Would Kyogo and Calmac have made a difference? I hope so because I don’t think the fans will give Ange too much time especially when the talk by the manager, which is great, just doesn’t get expressed on the field.

  17. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

When did we last start a season with 3 away defeats, scoring 1 goal?

Looked like a terrible team today. This could be a season where we struggle to finish in the top 4.

The club is a disgrace and patience will soon be wearing thin with Ange. An almost 50% loss rate is unacceptable for any Celtic manager, irrespective of the absolute shitshow inherited from last season’s duds.

BTW time to get rid of Kennedy and Strachan(s).

  18. Devils advocate — today’s results …

Will there be a lot of happy bookies tonight?

    Just asking for a friend?

    Makes you think.

Everton game from yesterday was also an eye opener.

  19. Well that was embarrassing…yet unsurprising. Stripped of a couple of players and against a defensive set up we really are average at best. The only crumb of comfort is results elsewhere mean it’s not fatal. I love Angeball; I think we all do, but teams have already worked out how to minimise it’s effect on their own grounds. Whist I’ll always have faith and err on the side of positive a seed of doubt was allowed to grow today, whether it’s as artificial as todays pitch only time will tell.

  20. glendalystonsils on

No ‘plastic pitch’ excuses . We should be beating Livi even if the pitch was made of shite .

  21. Having finished 25 points behind last season, we needed a root and branch clear out.

Instead, we got what we have now

  22. You could tell by the 60th minute we were not going to score a goal.

The team has no spine to it , no heart , no drive and as much physicality as an under 14s boys team.

Yes we’ve players missing but look at our away record of one win in 13.. that’s nothing but a sheer

    embarrassment.

We ain’t winning this league with lightweights all over the place.

One final note is that if this is James McCarthy level of performance then how the hell did this guy play on the EPL ?

His passing was so wayward it’s was hard to believe he’s a professional footballer.
